Sloane came first because Jasper was out of town today.
Thanks to Callan, I knew exactly when he’d be back.
Jasper saw the livestream. He’d been calling nonstop, sending long apology texts.
By 9 PM, he made it back to LA.
Didn’t even stop at home-came straight here.
But he didn’t come alone. He brought Callan.
The second Jasper saw me, he broke down.
“Lexie, I swear I didn’t mean for any of this. I panicked and went along with the plan.”
I looked at him coldly. “Did you have fun these past two months?”
“I was miserable.”
He actually dropped to his knees:
“At first I just wanted to teach you a lesson, make you listen. But then I couldn’t sleep. All I could think about was you…”
“Thinking about me didn’t stop you from buying breakfast for another girl.”
Jasper froze:
“Sloane’s just a friend. If you don’t like her, I’ll never see her again-”
“No! I think YOU TWO are perfect for each other!”
“No, no, no-” Jasper shook his head frantically:
“I don’t like her that way. Her family spoiled her, her temper’s awful, I’ve been putting up with her for years. Lexie, you’re the only one I care about-”
“Stop talking. Jasper, you make me sick. Can you just get out?”
I wouldn’t budge.
Jasper started panicking.
He turned to Callan desperately.
“Callan, talk to her for me.”
“You helped me lie, you’re responsible too. Tell her-”
Callan walked over without a word.
Then he leaned down and kissed me.
“Lexie,” he murmured. “You look so pretty when you’re pissed.”
“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!!!”
Jasper completely lost it.
He stood there frozen like his brain short-circuited.
Until I wrapped my arm around Callan’s waist.
Jasper’s face went red with rage. He swung at Callan.
Obviously no match. Callan dodged, keeping me behind him.
“What the hell, man?! I trusted you! How could you screw me over for my girlfriend?!”
“First, Lexie doesn’t belong to anyone-she’s her own person. Second, you said if I covered for you, we’d be even. I did what
you asked.”
“You took advantage! You’re disgusting!”
“Disgusting? Maybe.”
Callan smiled. “But Jasper, from the second you decided to lie to her, this disgusting person started planning to take your place.”
Callan eventually threw Jasper out.
I also deleted his fingerprint access.
Jasper stood outside in the pouring rain.
I just felt sick.
Knowing he’d slept with Sloane made it way worse.
I had Callan carry me to the window.
The curtains and lights would cast our shadows-visible from below.
When things got intense, Callan bit my shoulder, eyes glancing through the curtain at the figure in the rain.

“He looks like he’s losing his mind.”
“Let him.”
Callan’s right.
Jasper really lost his mind.
Wouldn’t stop calling, then came back pounding on the door..
I finally called the cops. That shut him up.
Overnight, the livestream kept spreading.
All thanks to Sloane.
Our stream wouldn’t have gotten much attention alone.
But her rant about working-class people made it blow up.
Sloane’s background, her job, everything got exposed online.
Hayes Corp tried damage control, but then someone leaked proof of her affair with Jasper.
