The Viral Post That Exposed My Husband’s Five Women Chapter 08

The Viral Post That Exposed My Husband’s Five Women Chapter 08

“Babe?!”

Every head in the room turned toward me.

“So Ms. Ashford is Mr. Mercer’s actual wife? No

wonder she stepped in!”

“That woman was just screaming that Ms.

Ashford was the other woman. Turns out she’s the

side piece!”

Chloe started trembling all over.

“She… she’s your wife?”

“Ryan Mercer, how many wives do you have?!”

Maya’s face hardened. She reached into her bag and pulled out our marriage certificate.

“Ryan Mercer and Natalie Ashford are legally married. How many wives do you think he has?”

The moment the five women saw the marriage certificate, their faces fell.

I stopped paying attention to them and addressed the room.

“Five years ago, Ryan married me with nothing to

his name, and I handed him day–to–day control of

my company.”

“Today, five years later, I found out he’d been

keeping five women on the side–all of them at my

own company.”

I paused and looked at the women below the

stage.

“The Rolls–Royce was mine before we married. It’s

already been sold.”

“The house was mine before we married too. It’s

already been sold.”

“As for the stock…” I scoffed and looked at Ryan.

“What exactly gave you the right to give away

shares in my company?”

Ryan was shaking all over. “Babe, I…”

I raised a hand and cut him off.

“Ryan Mercer, effective today, you are no longer

CEO of this company.”

“My attorney will send you the divorce papers

tomorrow.”

Then I looked away from him.

“And every Excellence Award announced tonight is

revoked.”

“Administration will reevaluate everyone based on tenure, performance, and other relevant factors, then select a new group of recipients.”

Finally, I looked at the five women slumped around the table.

“Brianna Cole. Kelsey Grant. Lauren Pierce. Alyssa Parker. Chloe Bennett.”

“None of you need to come back to work

tomorrow.”

I had security escort all six of them out.

The room burst into applause.

“Mr. Mercer really is a gold–digging social climber who married into money. He spent Ms. Ashford’s money turning her company into his personal dating pool. Looks like it finally caught up with him.”

“Seriously. He married into money and still had the nerve to act like he owned everything.”

“Ms. Ashford is back. Maybe this company finally has a future again.”

Even as security led them away, the women were still screaming at each other.

Brianna shoved Kelsey. “This is all your fault! If you hadn’t insisted on showing off that Rolls–Royce

online, Ms. Ashford never would’ve found out!”

Kelsey shoved back. “Me? You posted about that two–year bonus before I posted anything! If your post hadn’t blown up, do you think I would’ve joined in?”

Lauren cut in through her tears. “Me? Chloe literally posted her pregnancy! She’s the one who started all of this!”

“Enough!” Chloe shrieked, one hand covering her

stomach.

“If the rest of you hadn’t kept demanding more and more, that Ashford woman never would’ve started digging into us!”

“This is all your fault!”

Ryan finally exploded.

“Enough!”

He spun around and pointed at all five of them.

“You’re all greedy and never satisfied!”

“You stupid women ruined me!”

They stared at him in shock.

After several seconds of silence, Brianna lunged

forward and slapped him across the face.

“Ryan Mercer, who the hell are you to talk to us like

that?”

“You married into money! Without Natalie Ashford,

you’re nothing!”

“What gives you the right to stand there and yell at

us now?”

Kelsey immediately joined in.

“Exactly! You couldn’t keep it in your pants, and

now somehow this is our fault?”

“We only asked for things because you promised

them to us!”

Lauren cried out, “You told me we were going to

live together! Now you’re calling me greedy?”

Chloe had completely lost control.

“Ryan Mercer, you’re trash!”

Their shouting grew louder as security dragged

them toward the exit.

Then the voices faded away and finally

disappeared.

Once they were gone, the gala continued.

The new Excellence Award recipients would be

announced in a few days, but everything else

proceeded as planned.

I stayed with the employees for another hour or so

before finally leaving.

That night, I had barely made it home when I saw

Deborah waiting outside my door.

She had one hand braced against her lower back,

but the second she spotted me, she stormed over

and pointed a finger in my face.

“Natalie Ashford! What kind of wife thinks she can

fire her own husband?”

“A wife like you ought to be run out of town!”

“The Mercer family has no place for a

daughter–in–law who doesn’t know her place!”
