The Viral Post That Exposed My Husband’s Five Women Chapter 09

I smiled. “So now you know who actually owns the

company?”

Deborah froze for a moment, then lifted her chin

defiantly. “So what if I do?”

“You married into this family. That makes you one

of us. What’s the point of separating what belongs

to you from what belongs to Ryan?”

“What’s yours is Ryan’s, and what’s Ryan’s is mine!”

I gave a short, humorless laugh and pulled some

paperwork from my bag.

“Consider this my divorce gift to Ryan.”

“And if either of you bothers me again, I’m calling

the police.”

The words had barely left my mouth when Ryan

suddenly rushed toward us.

He snatched the papers from my hand, his face

lighting up with sheer delight.

“Natalie, I knew you couldn’t give up on me!”

“This is to make it up to me, right?”

“You’ve forgiven me, haven’t you?”

Then he saw what was written on the page and

went rigid.

“Five weeks pregnant… abortion?”

Deborah leaned in to look.

“This date–it was yesterday!”

“Natalie Ashford, how could you get rid of the baby? That was Ryan’s child–our grandchild!”

I nodded, my voice calm. “That’s why I went to the hospital yesterday. I ended the pregnancy.”

“Ryan, you don’t deserve a child from me.”

Then I went inside and locked the door behind me.

Ryan started pounding on it from outside.

“Natalie! Natalie, open the door!”

“I was wrong! I know I was wrong!”

“Please don’t fire me! We can have another baby!”

“Natalie, please!”

I stood on the other side of the door, listening to him.

I found the whole thing ridiculous.\

Before long, he dropped to his knees and started

begging even harder, pounding on the door

between pleas.

“Natalie, I’m begging you!”

“The company can’t run without me!”

“I gave that company five years of my life! You

can’t do this to me!”

The pounding went on and on.

When Deborah realized I still wasn’t responding,

she started hammering on the door too.

“Natalie Ashford! Open this door!”

“Look what you’ve done to my son, and now you

think you can just walk away?”

“You owe us! You owe this family for everything

you’ve cost us!”

Ryan suddenly spun toward her.

“Shut up!”

“This is all your fault! All of it!”

“You always had to control everything, and now

look at me. I’ve lost everything!”

“If you hadn’t kept telling me Natalie was unhealthy and that any baby she had would be

unhealthy too, why would I have kept putting off having children with her?”

“If we’d had a child together, she never would’ve

been able to bring herself to divorce me!”

“This is all your fault!”

Deborah clearly hadn’t expected him to turn on

her.

She shook with rage. “You… What did you just

say? I… I…”

She clutched her chest, staggered backward two

steps, and collapsed.

Ryan froze.

But only for a second.

Then he turned right back to my door and started

pounding again.

“Natalie! Natalie, come out!”

I stood by the window, watching the scene

outside, irritated.

In the end, I picked up my phone and called 911.

The ambulance arrived soon afterward.

A few days later, I heard that Deborah hadn’t had a

heart attack after all. She’d suffered a stroke and was left paralyzed.

Ryan had no intention of helping her.

All he wanted was to get his hands on some money and run.

But when he went to the bank, he discovered that I

had frozen all his assets.

He called me, practically hysterical.

“Natalie Ashford! Give me my money back!”

“I earned that money over the last five years!”

I scoffed.

“You earned it? With what?”

“Ryan, you used my company’s resources and my company’s money to bankroll five mistresses, and now you want to tell me you earned it?”

“Dream on.”

I hung up and blocked his number.

With nowhere else to turn, Ryan went looking for

Brianna and the others.

Not one of them wanted anything to do with him,

Chloe least of all.

She had already had an abortion and quickly

latched onto another man.

When Ryan saw them together, he completely lost

it and punched the man.

The man staggered back two steps, then looked

at him with contempt.

“Get him.”

His bodyguards immediately rushed forward,

pinned Ryan to the ground, and gave him a brutal

beating.

By the time they were done, Ryan lay curled on the

ground, his face bruised and swollen.

The man looked down at him.

“My father runs Westbridge Holdings. You put your hands on me, and you won’t be able to show your face around here again.”

Then he put an arm around Chloe and walked

away.

Ryan remained on the ground, battered from head

to toe.

He had never imagined his life could fall apart this completely.

He had lost his job, his money, and every woman he’d been seeing.

And now he had managed to make an enemy of another wealthy heir.

Not long afterward, Deborah died.

Ryan was such a coward he didn’t even show up for her funeral.

He did show up for our divorce hearing, but the evidence of his affairs was overwhelming, and his presence did nothing to change the outcome.

Outside the courthouse, he called after me.

“Natalie, I was wrong.”

I smiled and kept walking.

Some things, when said too late, are better left

unsaid.
