Bought a Wolf Pup at the Black Market, Found Out His Father Is Alpha King Chapter 12

Chapter 12 The Trial

Six months later.

I got my memories back.

Not anywhere romantic, but in Elder Miriam’s little cabin, while staring at a bowl of medicine so disgusting it nearly made me throw up..

The memories came back like a flood.

My name was Flora.

I was the daughter of a human noble house.

During the endtimes, I met a werewolf named

Soren.

He was arrogant, rough, and covered in injuries, but he gave me the last strip of dried meat he had.

We fell in love.

I became Darkmoon’s Luna.

I gave birth to a white wolf pup and named him

Dylan.

Then the Shifters invaded.

To protect my child, I lured the pursuers away and jumped off a cliff.

Then I woke up in a strange city.

And remembered nothing.

The elders said if I wanted to become Luna again,

I had to pass three trials.

Strength.

Wisdom.

Loyalty.

The first trial was strength.

My opponent was a Beta warrior twice my weight

and two heads taller..

I didn’t fight him headon.

I looked over his shoulder and shouted, Soren’s

here!”

He turned on instinct.

I kicked the side of his knee.

He hit the ground.

The eldersfaces went dark, but rules were rules.

I used no weapons.

I stayed in bounds.

I won.

The second trial was wisdom.

Elder Miriam handed me a piece of parchment

with an old riddle written on it.

What belongs to you forever, but other people use more than you do?

I thought for three seconds and wrote down one

word.

My name.

Miriam looked at the answer and smiled.

It was an old werewolf riddle, and the answer was

name.

And my name had been written into Darkmoon’s

records six years ago.

Passed.”

The third trial was loyalty.

They tied Dylan to the center of an open field.

Around him were mock Shifter attackerswooden

dummies, but their claws and teeth were real iron

and would draw blood.

They handed me a knife and told me to save him.

I didn’t use it.

I walked straight through the dummies, letting their iron claws tear into my arms and back.

I reached Dylan, untied him, and put my body in front of his.

A wooden wolf lunged and sank its teeth into my shoulder.

Blood ran down my arm.

I didn’t let go.

Dylan burst into tears.

Mom! Your shoulder’s bleeding!”

I’m fine.”

You’re lying! There’s so much blood!”

Soren stormed in and kicked the wooden wolf

away with one strike.

Enough!he roared.

Elder Miriam rose slowly to her feet.

Then she knelt.

Luna.”

The other elders followed her down.

Dylan whispered in my arms, Mom, does it hurt?”

No.”

You’re lying again.”

Okay. A little. Your dad’s going to make it up to

me.”

Soren walked over, lowered his head, and pressed

his forehead to mine.

I’m sorry,” he whispered.

You can spend the rest of your life repaying me.”
