Bought a Wolf Pup at the Black Market, Found Out His Father Is Alpha King Chapter 11
Chapter 11 The TruthÂ
Wind roared in.Â
The knife dropped from my hand.Â
Soren stood in the doorway, armor streaked withÂ
grass and blood, eyes red.Â
His wolf ears were raised high, and he let out aÂ
low growl at Dylan.Â
Blue–violet flames blazed behind him, turning theÂ
whole hallway bright as day.Â
The tiny flames on Dylan’s body went out instantlyÂ
in terror.Â
Then he passed out.Â
“Big bully to the weak, coward before the strong,” Soren muttered coldly.Â
He walked over, crouched in front of me, andÂ
looked at the wounds on my wrists.Â
“Are you okay?”Â
I shook my head, still too stunned to process anyÂ
of it.Â
“What are you doing here? Weren’t you at war?”Â
“If I came back any later, my whole family would’ve fallen apart.”Â
After Dylan was settled asleep, Soren pulled me down to sit on a bench in the hospital corridor.Â
“When did you figure it out?”Â
“Half a month ago. The first time Dylan manifested, I gave him my blood.”Â
He was quiet for a long time.Â
“How did you know?” I asked.Â
“The first time I saw you at that club, I knew.”Â
He kept his gaze lowered on his hands.Â
“Your scent. The pendant around your neck. TheÂ
way you touch your earlobe when you’re nervous.Â
And the Mate Bond between us never fullyÂ
snapped.”Â
“Then why didn’t you claim me?”Â
His fists clenched, then loosened.Â
“After the final battle of the end–times war, I cameÂ
back for you. The pack told me you had left theÂ
child behind and run. You were born humanÂ
nobility. If the world hadn’t fallen apart, you neverÂ
would’ve ended up with a rough werewolf like me.”Â
“I looked for you for a long time. Every piece of news I got said the same thing–you regretted us. You abandoned us while I was away at war.”Â
“That’s not true.” My voice trembled.Â
“Later I learned you had fallen off a cliff and lostÂ
your memory.”Â
His voice turned tight.Â
“God knows how much I hated myself. Because of my own inferiority, I lost so many years with you.”Â
At last, he looked up at me.Â
“I know this may not be the right time to say it. But would you give me another chance?”Â
I parted my lips.Â
“What about Juno?”Â
“Juno?” He frowned.Â
“What does she have to do with anything?”Â
“Isn’t she your new mate?”Â
His face turned blank.Â
“What kind of nonsense is that? Juno’s myÂ
comrade. Her mate is Finn. That fox.”Â
“But the texts said-”Â
“What texts?”Â
I shut my mouth.Â
That was when Dylan woke up.Â
The second he saw Soren, a spark of joy flashedÂ
across his face.Â
“Dad!”Â
Then he seemed to remember something andÂ
quickly glanced at me.Â
“Wow, my head feels so dizzy… I’m apparently saying random things now. Mom, who’s thisÂ
uncle? He looks kinda familiar.”Â
Soren looked both annoyed and amused.Â
He flicked Dylan on the forehead.Â
“Drop the act. Your mom already knows.”Â
Dylan pouted.Â
“So you’re sending me back now? Is it because I spit fire and almost burned her? Are you scared ofÂ
me?”Â
His eyes brimmed with tears.Â
“Dad, I don’t want to be a white wolf anymore. CanÂ
you take my power away?”Â
“What do you want to be, then?”Â
“Flora’s dog!”Â
Soren gave a cold laugh.Â
“Not your call.”
