Three Months After My Death Chapter 04

Three Months After My Death Chapter 04

e nurse was about to tell Lori that the only casualty in the accident was her husband, Chad Lowry.

However, Lori stopped the nurse. “It doesn’t matter who died in that accident. It has nothing to do with me.”

The nurse looked at the cold expression on Lori’s face and swallowed her words.

Not long after, the meeting ended.

Lori soon received a call from Bryce, who suggested a date with her after work.

She agreed.

I did not want to go with Lori on their date, but my spirit was unable to distance itself from Lori.

Lori and Bryce went for dinner after work.

On their way home after dinner, Lori suddenly sat on a chair while hugging her tummy.

Bryce was concerned and asked if she was all right.

Lori shook her head and said, “My gastric must be working up again after so many days of eating delivery.”

She had a weak stomach and would always suffer whenever she had spicy or oily food.

I would always rush home to make her meals because I wanted her to have meals that were healthy for her gut.

It took a long time for me to finally help her develop a healthier gut, but she had been eating delivery food for the past month with Bryce. She would either eat out or eat seafood, which caused this discomfort.

“What should I do?”

Bryce had no idea how to take care of Lori. Besides sweet-talking, he never did anything else to care for her.

Lori pointed at some drawers next to the table and said to Bryce, “Search the drawers. Chad used to put my gastric medication in there.”

Bryce replied with an ‘okay’ and went over to the drawers. He searched them for a while before finally finding the medicine.

However, they had expired.

As such, Lori had no choice but to unblock my number to send me a message.

“My gastric medication has expired.”

She waited for a long time, but there was no reply.

Lori held back her impatience and sent me another message, “My stomach really hurts. Where did you keep all my other medication?”

However, ‘I’ did not reply.

Lori frowned. She put her phone down angrily.

When Bryce saw how much in pain Lori was, he suddenly thought of something. “Wait here. I’ll go get some gastric medication for you.”

He left after that.

Bryce returned with a bunch of medicine.

Lori was touched. She said, “Thank you, Bryce.”

Bryce shook his head. “It’s what I should do for you.”

I found it laughable that Lori felt touched over this.

She felt nothing for me despite doing so much for her before.

All Bryce did was buy her some medicine for her gastric, yet she was expressing so much gratitude over this.

Lori went to sleep after taking the medicine Bryce bought for her.

However, she woke up from the pain in the middle of the night. That was when she checked her phone and saw my’ reply.

There was only one sentence. “You deserve to die from the pain…”

Even though I had no idea who was impersonating me, the reply suited me very well.

Lori frowned. She wanted to reply, but her stomach hurt so much that she didn’t have the strength to type anything.

She tugged at Bryce, who was lying next to her. “Bryce, my stomach hurts…

“Just go to sleep if it hurts. You’ll be fine when you wake up in the morning…” Bryce replied groggily. He then flipped over and continued sleeping.

Lori continued tugging at Bryce. This time, he flung her hand off and said impatiently, “Stop it!”
