They Called Me the Family Outcast, I Sent Them to Trial Chapter 09
The livestream quickly reached all Five Families.
Matteo had the ammunition crates pushed in front of the camera.
Viola hid behind him, crying as she stared into the camera.
“Elena knew we were being lied to all along, and she kept quiet on purpose!
“She used her status as the Chairman’s daughter to sit back and watch all of us lose our protection!
“If she had just helped us from the start, we never would have ended up here!”
People who didn’t know the truth began to question whether the Commission was letting me use my position for revenge.
I could have left them to their fate, but I couldn’t let them twist the truth.
More importantly, the flare in Matteo’s hand was less than seven feet from the ammunition crates.
If the crates went off, everyone still at the old base handling the evacuation could be caught in the blast.
My father was ready to send the strike team in by force.
I stopped him.
The crates were directly behind the main doors. If we stormed the armory from the front, Matteo might set them off immediately.
I had trained with the Bellini family for three years. I knew there was a maintenance passage behind the armory.
My father looked at me. “You’re going in?”
“I’ll take four people. Keep him busy out here.”
The Commission’s representative approved the plan.
First, I showed the registration notices and chat records on the livestream.
“These are the three warnings the Commission sent out.
“These are the chat records showing you canceling your registration appointments and laughing at the reminders.
“And these are the system logs showing Matteo logging into my account and trying to withdraw me from the evacuation list.”
The evidence appeared on the stream, one piece at a time.
Next came the video of Matteo deleting the registration reminders himself.
The people who had just been defending them fell silent.
The comments quickly turned against them.
“The Commission warned them three times. They chose not to go.”
“They even tried to cancel someone else’s registration, and now they’re playing the victim?”
While I talked, I led my team through the maintenance passage toward the armory.
“Viola lied to you, but you chose not to register. You chose to attack the guards and take over the armory. Those were your choices.
“You weren’t out of options. You just chose wrong every single time.”
Matico’s face turned red with rage.
‘Cut the crap! Open the list!”
‘The list is not reopening.
‘Put down the flare and come out with your hands up.”
Matteo finally lost it.
‘If you won’t let us live, then we’ll all die together!”
He thrust the flare toward the crates.
The people inside the armory finally panicked.
‘Matteo, don’t do anything crazy!”
‘We just wanted to scare the Commission! Do you actually want to blow everyone up?”
He kicked aside the man trying to stop him.
‘It’s too late to back out now!”
That was when I burst through the maintenance door with my team.
Matteo heard us and whipped around.
I raised my gun and fired, hitting him in the wrist.
The flare dropped from his hand.
The teammate behind me immediately covered it with a fire blanket.
The other three moved in to secure the ammunition crates and the door locks.
Matteo reached for his gun, but I kicked him to the floor.
“Open the doors.”
Less than ten seconds later, the armory doors opened from the inside.
