My Twin Sister Stole My College Admission Chapter 09
Elena!”
I stopped dead in my tracks but didn’t bother turning around. They hurried around to block my path.
Logan scanned me from head to toe, his mouth opening and closing as if he didn’t know what to say “I… I had no idea you were capable of standing on a stage like that.”
I looked at him with a cold, mocking smirk. “Capable of what? Being brilliant? Or executing a strategic move that completely ruined your little charade?”
“Elena!” Logan’s tone permanently darkened, but within seconds, he forced his expression to soften. He stepped closer and reached out to casually ruffle my hair, just like he used to do when he
wanted something. “Alright, let’s stop fighting. We are family, after all. What’s mine is yours,
right?”
He exchanged a quick, meaningful glance with my parents.
“We’ve already booked your flight back to Denver for tomorrow morning. Starting tomorrow, Chloe
will stay here and take your place at Stanford.”
I lifted my chin, looking at them. This time, there was no anger, no feelings of unfairness-only
absolute, pure amusement.
“Really?”
“And how exactly do you plan to pull that off? I’ve already met with the dean and half the department faculty today. I also explicitly stated in my public speech that I have a deeply pampered, heavily favored twin sister.”
“Furthermore, my major is Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Software Engineering—a heavy
STEM field that this absolute idiot Chloe knows less than zero about. What earthly right or
capability does she have to replace me?”
Hearing my words, Chloe let out a dynamic, hysterical sob, covering her face to hide her distorted,
ugly expression.
“Elena… how can you speak about me like that? I’m your sister!”
My parents and Logan were utterly shocked. They stared at me as if looking at a complete stranger.
“Elena, have you completely lost your mind?!” Logan’s brows snapped together. “She is your biological twin sister! How can you be so vicious towards her?! Everything you have in this life is
“-is a debt I owe her, right?”
i cut him off completely. He froze, the familiar weapon of psychological manipulation suddenly dying in his throat.
I let out a sharp, venomous laugh straight from my chest.
“I wasn’t the one who gave birth to her. If she’s sickly and frail, she can go straight to the grave for all I care. What does that have to do with me? Not a single person in this pathetic family is a decent human being.”
Hearing this, my dad’s chest started heaving violently with rage. He pointed a trembling finger at me. “You… you ungrateful monster! What did you just say?!”
He raised his arm high, swinging his palm down toward my face with maximum force, exactly like
he had done a thousand times before in the living room.
I could have easily dodged it. But I didn’t. I wanted this slap to land-right here, right now, in front
of the largest crowd possible!
Slap!
The brutal impact sent me crashing heavily onto the campus pavement.
The massive crowd of freshmen pouring out of the auditorium instantly froze in absolute shock.
“Oh my god! Isn’t that Elena, the freshman speaker?! She just got assaulted!”
“Wait, are those the toxic family members she was just talking about in her speech?! Yes! Look at
the twin sister!”
“Holy hell, this is insane! Who drives across the country just to physically attack a student on
campus?! Call campus security!”
The crowd around us began to whisper and buzz with commotion.
I lifted my head, exposing my badly swollen cheek, and threw myself onto my knees. Grabbing the
hem of my dad’s pants, I let out a torrent of heartbroken, bitter tears.
“Dad, I beg you, please don’t let my sister take my place at school! I’m begging you!”
“This is the score I worked so hard to get! Please, just let me continue my education!”
“I don’t want your tuition money, I don’t want an allowance, I don’t want a single thing from you! I am literally begging you on my knees!”
My dad stared down at me in absolute, paralyzed shock.
Lowering his voice into a vicious, panicked whisper, he warned, “What the hell are you talking
about?! Get the hell up right now!”
But the moment my words left my mouth, they instantly whipped up a massive, furious tidal wave among the crowd.
“Oh my god! What kind of psychotic parents are they?! Are you kidding me? They’re trying to force her twin sister to steal her enrollment spot?! That is sick and completely illegal!”
“Hey! On what grounds do you think you can strip Elena of her right to go to school?! Do you honestly think we’re still living in the dark ages?!”
“Seriously, get out of here, you pathetic fraud! You got a 400 on your SATs and you think you can handle Stanford? You’d flunk out by midterms!”
My family’s faces turned completely white, then a furious, humiliated crimson.
Logan lunged forward, grabbing my arm to violently pull me up. “Elena! Get the hell up right now Stop making a scene!”
I caught sight of the university dean, campus security, and several professors sprinting toward us from the distance, and a slow, victorious smile spread across my face.
“Logan,” I whispered, looking directly into his panicked eyes. “I told you. My life belongs to me. Nobody can steal it.”
He froze completely.
The department director who had guided my move-in process rushed over. Hearing the scattered
explanations from the surrounding students, her face contorted into pure, protective fury.
“What kind of despicable parents are you?!”
“Replace her?! Do you honestly believe that any random fraud can just walk in and steal the life of an elite student who scored a near-perfect 1580 on her SATS?!”
Letting out a cold, disgusted sneer, she continued.
“Even if you somehow forged the paperwork to get her through the gates, she wouldn’t last a single week in our advanced engineering courses. Stanford would flunk out her instantly!”
Hearing this, Chloe’s eyes went wide. The delicate, heavily pampered princess had never
experienced such raw, public humiliation in her life. Tears poured down her face instantly.
“You’re a university official! How can you speak to me with such utter disrespect?!”
The director was a woman of fierce, unyielding justice. “My job is to educate and cultivate brilliant minds. As for a thoroughly warped, toxic fraud like you… the legal system will handle you in due
time!”
The surrounding students burst into a loud wave of mocking laughter, and the security guards
immediately pushed their way through to shield me behind the director’s back
Looking at her protective stance, a sudden wave of warmth hit my chest, making my nose sting
I had never imagined that the very first person to ever stand in front of a blow for me would be a university official I had met less than forty-eight hours ago-a complete stranger with zero biological ties to my name.
Chloe looked like she was about to faint, her fake tears completely drying up from pure panic.
My parents and Logan stood completely frozen in the center of the campus courtyard, unable to process how thoroughly their absolute authority had crumbled.
I took a deep, steady breath, looking at them through the gaps in the security line.
“By the way, regarding the money you spent raising me over the years… you’ve already hosted that massive, expensive country club banquet using my SAT scores and collected thousands of dollars in celebratory cash gifts from our relatives. Consider our financial accounts permanently settled and cleared.”
“The words I said on the phone were not a tantrum. I am legally cutting ties with this family. From this day forward, do not ever attempt to contact or harass me again.”
“And keep your filthy hands off my life.”
The four of them were forcefully escorted off the Stanford campus by university security and officially blacklisted from ever entering the university grounds again.
The director patted my shoulder gently. “You’re safe now.”
I sniffled softly, giving her a heavy, deeply grateful nod.
The moment I got back to my dorm room, my phone started buzzing relentlessly with incoming notifications from all four of them.
Logan: [Elena, let’s have a civilized conversation. Please.]
Chloe: [Elena! You absolute psycho, how could you do this to me?!]
Mom: [Elena, sweetie… do you really not want your own mother anymore?]
Dad: [Elena, you think your wings are strong enough to fly now, don’t you?!]
I didn’t reply to a single syllable. One by one, I blocked and blacklisted every single one of their phone numbers, email addresses, and social media accounts.
Meanwhile, back in Denver, the four of them had just walked through the front door of the Sterling
residence, exhausted and filthy, when they realized the entire living room was packed with their extended aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chloe subconsciously shrank back, her heart sinking with a sudden, panicked guilt.
My aunt was the first to step forward. She crossed her arms, letting out a sharp, venomous chuckle that echoed clearly through the quiet house.
“Well, well, look who finally slunk back home! I was wondering who it was, but it turns out some people’s elite college acceptances were completely stolen!”
“Who would’ve thought that the actual textbook loser who scored a pathetic 400 on the SATs wasn’t Elena, but our precious Chloe!”
