Mission Fail: Kill Me Now Chapter 08

Mission Fail: Kill Me Now Chapter 08

After obtaining the video, I forwarded it directly to Finn’s phone. Even if I was about to die, I still wanted

to clear my name.

Finn glanced at his phone impatiently, asking, “What is this now? Are you trying to frame Hannah again?

Don’t you get tired of faking this kind of stuff?”

However, the moment he tapped on the video, his eyes widened.

With his professional background, it didn’t take him long to realize that the video wasn’t fake. In the footage, I was shielding Finn as his father brutally beat him up. Meanwhile, Hannah stood beside his father’s new girlfriend.

“Lydia, if you want to deal with Finn, you have to get rid of Chloe first. I have a way to make them

completely fall out.”

Hannah had hired a group of thugs to humiliate me, but when they went to grab someone, Finn had suddenly gone over to her side to deliver photo prints. That was how she ended up being taken by

mistake.

Finn stared at Hannah in shock, clearly unable to believe she could do something like that. However, the video kept playing. The second segment showed footage from the photography competition. Not only had Hannah cheated, but she had also tried to destroy Finn’s work so he wouldn’t be able to get into a top university. To protect his submission, I held onto the USB drive no matter what, even when the people she hired beat me until my bones broke.

Casey stood to the side, his fists clenched as he looked at me.

“So that’s why you were so badly injured that day. Why didn’t you say anything?”

Finn turned to him in disbelief.

“Casey, when I asked you before if Chloe had ever been hurt, didn’t you say no?”

Casey lowered his head guiltily.

“Chloe told me not to say anything. And Hannah… Hannah Snow said Chloe got hurt because she did something to betray you and told me not to tell you.”

Finn staggered back, his eyes reddening as he looked at Hannah.

“How could this be? Didn’t you say Chloe falsely accused you of cheating? That you tried to stop her, but

she threatened you instead?”

Seeing the guilt in Hannah’s eyes, Finn turned to me in pain.

“I’m sorry, Chloe. So the one who’s been lying to me all along was Hannah. She told me that her stepfather often abused her and that she was constantly bullied. I empathized with her, so I wanted to protect her.

But I never thought…”

“You never thought it was all a lie she made up?” I let out a small laugh, though my eyes were completely

lifeless.

Finn nodded painfully. Just as he was about to say something else, Leo glanced at his phone, and his expression changed drastically.

“Chloe, did you post these photos? Are you really trying to destroy Hannah?”

Photos of Hannah being caught in bed with someone back then had somehow surfaced online. However, the man’s face was obscured by his hair, making him impossible to identify. Back then, Leo had been convinced that I was the one who staged the whole thing to frame Hannah.

The moment he said that, Hannah suddenly dropped to her knees in front of me, tears streaming down

her face.

“I know you hate me. You can do whatever you want to me, but I’m already married to Lucas. I don’t want my reputation to damage his. Chloe, what do I have to do for you to finally let me go?”

Lucas and Leo quickly helped Hannah up, their faces full of concern.

“Hannah, we’ll prove your innocence. You don’t need to beg her.”

“Chloe, don’t forget about your hit-and-run. If I call the police, you’ll go to prison!”

This time, before I could even speak, Casey and Finn stepped in front of me.
