Luna’s Goodbye to Her Deceitful Alpha Chapter 02

Luna’s Goodbye to Her Deceitful Alpha Chapter 02

I was forced to stay at the pack medical center to recover.

Weakly lying in that hospital bed, the wolf scent on me had faded until it was barely there. The mark pattern on the back of my neck had faded too, more than half of it gone.

But Sebastian kept calling me constantly, demanding I cook dinner for him and his new girl myself.

I didn’t respond.

So he changed his approach.

He started texting me. Sharing videos. A different girl every day, indulging in partying and sleeping around.

I called his Beta over and had him open their chat history. It was clean. Nothing but pack-related issues.

He wanted to shove all his disgusting behavior right in my face.

So that when he finally “got his memory back” and came back to bond with me, he’d have a reasonable excuse for his indulgence—

You knew about all of it, didn’t you? I only acted that way because I lost my memory.

So I gave him exactly what he wanted. I liked every single video he sent.

On the third day, the “eighteen-year-old” Sebastian introduced his pack members to the new mate he had chosen. Brenda.

For the next few days, his social media was nothing but all kinds of photos of him and Brenda.

Selfies in the passenger seat. Cuddling under the moonlight.

Even the angles of the photos were exactly the same as when he used to take pictures with me back then.

I pressed my hand against my aching, cramping stomach. Tears slid down my face beyond my control.

Under his post, I slowly typed out a line—

[Young love. So sweet.]

The day after I commented, I was still asleep in my hospital bed when the door was slammed open with a kick.

Sebastian burst in with Brenda.

“Enough!” he said with a cold laugh. “You’re really good at putting on an act. You even came to the pack medical center?”

“Nicole,” he demanded, “why did you freeze our joint account?”

I curled my lips into a bitter smile and shot back, “I thought you said you didn’t remember anything. How do you know it’s our joint account?”

He choked on his words. Then he touched his nose, annoyed, and let out his Alpha’s dominance.

“I just forgot you. I’m not an idiot. Of course I remember money stuff.”

“Now hurry up and unlock the account. I want to buy Brenda a pink Mercedes.”

That account was something he’d set up back then for our future pup. He’d moved more than half of Stonevein Pack’s assets into it.

And among those assets were also the treasures I’d brought from Graymaw Pack. No way was I giving them to his new girl so easily.

“No way,” I said. “Get out of here, both of you. I just had surgery. I’m tired. I need to rest.”

Then I reached for the call button to call the pack doctor and have him kick them out.

Sebastian suddenly seized my wrist. His voice softened.

“Come on. Isn’t this what you want? To bond with me? Just unlock the account. I’ll do the ceremony with you next month. Happy now?”

I tried hard to pull away, but I had no strength to fight him. I could only force the words out through gritted teeth.

“Give it up. It’s impossible.”

Brenda tugged gently at his sleeve, saying soothingly in that understanding way of hers.

“Alpha, it’s fine. Just being able to take a walk with you makes me happy enough.”

That sentence completely ignited Sebastian’s rage. There was no way an Alpha like him would allow himself to look weak in front of a fragile female.

He used the momentum and threw me to the ground hard.

I crashed into the nightstand. A tearing pain ripped through my body. A rush of warmth flowed down between my legs.

“Nicole! Do you even love me or not? You won’t do one small thing for me!”

“No wonder I can’t remember any moments of loving you! My mate, the Luna of Stonevein Pack, would never have been someone like you!”

I pressed the call button with shaking hands. Sebastian saw how pale I was, but he just laughed coldly.

“Stop pretending. You’re so dramatic.”

I curled into a ball from the pain, the wolf inside me letting out a weak, broken whimper.

I didn’t understand. Could a person really change this much in just a few dozen days?

Turning someone deeply loved into someone unimportant—was a little bit of freedom worth torturing me like this?

He met my gaze. He looked rattled for a second, but he held onto his pride.

“Don’t look at me with those eyes!”

Then he grabbed my phone, unlocked the account, and strode out triumphantly with Brenda, not looking back.

And me? I completely lost consciousness amid the distant, blurry shouts of the pack doctor and nurses.
