Luna’s Goodbye to Her Deceitful Alpha Chapter 01

Luna’s Goodbye to Her Deceitful Alpha Chapter 01

The rehearsal for my bonding ceremony with the Alpha of Stonevein Pack should have ended perfectly.

Until Sebastian went to pick up the moonstone earring I dropped under the altar.

Thud.

He tumbled off the altar. His forehead slammed hard against the marble floor.

The wound healed quickly.

But when he woke up, those amber eyes of his held nothing but the reckless energy of an eighteen-year-old kid. Not a single trace of an Alpha’s composure remained.

He shoved me away hard and said he didn’t know me, some outsider.

He refused to bond with me. He snuck out of pack land. He chased after every female wolf who wagged her tail in his direction.

I couldn’t accept it. I tried everything to show him the mark he’d left on the back of my neck. All I got was his cold face.

I broke down. I sobbed and begged Logan, the pack doctor—the senior healer sworn to protect Stonevein Pack’s bloodline—to save our ten years of love.

Logan was silent for a moment. Then he turned and took a bottle carved from moonstone out of a secret cabinet. The bottle glowed with an eerie dark red light.

“This is Sebastian’s essence, drawn on the night of the full moon and preserved.”

“If you can carry his pup using this essence, it might trigger his Alpha instinct to protect his own bloodline. It could bring his memories back.”

I was ecstatic. I prayed to the Moon Goddess with everything I had, doing everything I was supposed to do. And finally, I was pregnant with his pup.

I walked out of the pack medical center, my heart full of happiness. Then a friend sent me a video.

In the video, Sebastian was lying on a couch, laughing as he stuffed cash into a female wolf’s shirt.

And sitting right next to him was Logan, the pack doctor, teasing him.

“Alpha, that was a brilliant move. Nicole’s belly is getting bigger. She was already crazy about you. Now she’s definitely never letting go.”

“She’s never leaving you anyway. Why don’t you just fake memory loss for a year, have your fun, and then do the bonding ceremony?”

Sebastian’s face went cold instantly. He cursed at him.

“Shut up! I love Nicole too much. I couldn’t stand her going through pregnancy alone.”

“These dancers are boring. Hurry up and get me a new batch of ‘understanding’ she-wolves.”

“When I’m done having fun, I’ll give Nicole a big bonding ceremony next month.”

I clutched my phone. My tears soaked the pregnancy test slip until the words were completely blurred.

I stumbled back in a daze.

When the pack doctor found out I wanted to terminate the pregnancy, her face was etched with shock.

“Nicole, you used the essence to conceive this pup. This is our only chance to wake the Alpha up.”

I smiled. It looked worse than crying.

“I really don’t want it anymore.”

You can’t wake someone who’s made up their mind to enjoy being reckless.

I couldn’t understand it no matter how hard I tried. The man who swore he’d love me for a lifetime had teamed up with Logan to set up a trap this big for me.

She couldn’t break through my resolve. She made an excuse to leave and secretly tipped off Logan.

Not long after, my friend sent me another video. The moment I opened it, I heard Sebastian’s shocked voice.

“What?!”

His face changed. He started to get up.

But Logan immediately reached out and stopped him. “No way. Nicole has always had trouble conceiving. She went through hell to get this pup. There’s no way she’d end it.”

A fragile Omega leaned on his shoulder, tracing circles with her finger and laughing softly.

“Alpha, I know she-wolves better than anyone. If you go to her now, you’ll never have an easy day again.”

At the same time, the door pushed open.

The pack doctor came back in. Her hand was tight around her phone. Her face was full of hopeful expectation.

“Nicole, the Alpha says he wants to talk to you.”

She held the phone out to me. Her eyes seemed to say: See? He does care about you.

I took it. I turned on speaker.

His voice came through the phone.

“Nicole! Are you serious? You’re clinging to me every single day. Don’t you have any shame?”

“Don’t try to trap me with some pup. Who even knows whose that thing is?”

The line went dead with a sharp click.

The pack doctor went pale. She stammered out an apology to me.

I looked up at her calmly. “It’s fine. Just keep it a secret for me.”

The procedure was done.

My body couldn’t handle it. I hemorrhaged badly.

They say an Alpha’s nose can smell blood from miles away.

—But he felt nothing for me. He remembered nothing.
