Imprisoned, Poisoned, She Took His Throne Chapter 07

Imprisoned, Poisoned, She Took His Throne Chapter 07

That slap was no kidding.

Giulia was knocked to the ground, her cheek swollen, and she gave me a cold smile.

“You’re the one who brought her milk every night, you’re the one who kept her locked up, and you’re the one who let me abuse her… Without your support, how could I possibly have hurt Donna? How? Now that she’s dead, you want to pin all the blame on me?”

Giulia’s words hit me like a sledgehammer to the head.

Elena was dead… It’s my fault.

Once I realized this, I-as the Don of a mafia family-felt fear for the first time.

“It’s me… It’s all my fault. I was so stupid-I’m the one who killed Elena…”

I staggered backward a few steps, then my legs gave way and I collapsed to the ground, and immediately lost consciousness.

Elena’s POV:

I was sitting on the yacht Tony had arranged, listening to the informants at the Long Island

mansion report on their situation.

Luca hit Giulia, then fainted.

Giulia was pregnant, and the blow was so severe that she nearly had a miscarriage.

The doctor advised her to take measures to preserve the pregnancy for the rest of her pregnancy…

Seven days after I jumped into the sea, the news had spread throughout the New York underworld.

Luca threw me a grand funeral.

He fainted three times from crying at the funeral, and everyone praised him for his devotion.

But less than six months later, he married Giulia and showered her with all his affection and gave her all his territory.

I heard it was because he felt so guilty about hitting Giulia that he nearly caused her to miscarry.

I was holed up in a safe house in Chicago, watching the live news coverage and smirking.

Tony, standing behind me, asked, “Donna, when are we going back to get revenge?”

I put down my phone and looked out the window at the glistening waters of Lake Michigan.

“Wait a little longer. It’ll be ready soon.”

It took me six months to secretly rebuild the Salerno family and form an alliance with the Irish mob

in Chicago. I dealt in arms, ran casinos, laundered money, and bribed politicians-I mastered every

trick my father had ever used.

I wasn’t just seeking revenge; I’m going to restore the Salerno family’s name to the top of New

York.

In addition, Tony tracked down the doctor who had performed my prenatal checkups back then.

I had him brought to the warehouse in Chicago.

He knelt on the ground, trembling all over.

“Donna, it wasn’t my idea-Don Vitale and Giulia forced me to do it. Those three children were all healthy; he’s the one who made me give you the abortion medication.”

I crouched down and looked into his eyes.

“I know he forced you to do it. That’s why I won’t kill you.”

He let out a sigh of relief: “Thank you, Donna! Thank you, Donna!”

I stood up and walked toward the door.

Tony followed up: “Donna, are you really letting him go?”

“I told you, I won’t kill him.”

I paused.

“But that doesn’t mean he won’t suffer. Break both his legs and throw him out of Chicago. Let him

remember for the rest of his life: don’t mess with the Salerno family.”

Tony smiled. “Yes, Donna.”

When I returned to New York, my status had changed; I was no longer the Principessa of the late

Don Salerno, nor was I Don Vitale’s Donna.

I was now the head of the Salerno family.

The Chicago Irish mob’s arms supply chain, the East Coast casino network, and the money-laundering channels in Florida-all in my hands.

It took me six months to reclaim everything my father had lost, with interest.

Luca didn’t know.

He had always believed that it was the Chicago Irish mob that had been against him all this time, stealing his businesses and territory.

He never imagined that I was the one behind.

But he would find out soon enough.
