I Gave Them Their Show. I Gave Her My Wedding Chapter 06

Blair panicked, “I… I…”

She stammered, her ears burning red.

She couldn’t get a single full sentence out.

Arlo’s expression darkened.

He let out a bitter, disappointed laugh, “Blair. So you really did lie to us.”

Mira clenched the report, her voice pained, “Blair, why did you do this?”

“Ever since you got sick, the four of us gave you everything.”

“We have nothing to be ashamed of. Why did you lie to us for so long?”

Blair’s ears burned redder. Finally, she snapped, her voice sharp with anger,

“Because of Nova!”

“If I hadn’t given her my spot at that orientation party, she never would have met Reid!”

“She never would have dated him for all those years!”

“The one who should have been with Reid was me.”

“I was just taking back what was always mine.”

She shouted, finally letting out the secret she’d buried deep inside.

“I liked Reid long before she did.”

“I had a crush on him all through high school.”

“Three years-he never said a single word to me.’

“And she got him in two months. It’s not fair!”

With every word she spoke, their faces grew darker.

After a long pause, Mira finally spoke, her voice hollow,

“So that’s why you let us push Nova aside for you?”

“Yes!”

Blair forced herself to calm down.

She pressed a hand to her stomach, her tone almost smug,

“I’m married to Reid now. I’m carrying his child. It’s done.”

“I’ll be Mrs. Sterling, and I’ll protect this family. The four of us can still be best friends, just like

before.”

Silence.

Then Reid’s voice cut through, cold and flat, “Get rid of it.”

Blair’s smug expression froze, “Reid, what did you say?”

His tone didn’t waver. He repeated it calmly, “I said, get rid of it.”

“The Sterlings don’t need a child born from scheming.”

He turned to the doctor, “Please schedule the earliest termination.”

The doctor nodded and began making preparations.

Reid looked at Arlo and Mira, “Take her in.”

They exchanged a glance.

Then they each took one of Blair’s arms.

Blair finally realized he wasn’t joking.

Panic flooded her face,

“You think getting rid of our baby will bring Nova back?”

“I know her-she just lost hers. She hates you now. She’s not coming back.”

“You’d be better off keeping mine, at least then the Sterling family would still have an heir!”

Reid’s fingers stiffened.

A bitter laugh escaped his throat, “So you knew Nova was expecting too.”

Mira froze, her face twisting with pain, “Today-was that also intentional?”

Blair bit her lip, crying as she spoke, “I’m sorry. I was wrong.”

“Nthought this would keep you all close. I was just scared of losing you.”

“That’s why I tried to push Nova and her baby away. I’m sorry-”

She cried with feeling, trying once again to move them with her tears.

If this were any other time, they would have rushed to comfort her.

Tissues. Reassurances.

But now-all three of them only felt cold.

The doctor returned with the nurse, “Mr. Sterling, we’re ready.”

Reid looked at Arlo and Mira, “Then take her in.”

Blair’s pupils contracted. She screamed and struggled.

They didn’t let go.

They dragged her toward the operating room.

This time, Reid didn’t soften.

“I’ll have your things cleared from the house.”

“All your medical expenses-the four of us paid them.”

“You have three days to pay us back. If you don’t, we’ll take it to court.”

His voice was flat.

Blair completely broke down.

He didn’t look back.

He turned and left with Arlo and Mira, ignoring her cries behind him.

They never turned around.
