I Am Not An Omega, I Am The Queen Of The Deep Sea Chapter 09
Later, I ran the underwater world well.Â
The Shadow Trench returned to its former order.Â
My subjects all called me “Queen of the Deep” with reverence.Â
And Vaelor? He fell apart completely.Â
After returning to Stormhowl Pack, his power kept declining. Silvermoon Pack teamed up with three other packs and launched a full–scale attack on Stormhowl. Vaelor was forced to accept a duel challenge.Â
On duel day, Vaelor got destroyed.Â
After that, Ruric took the Alpha position of Stormhowl Pack. Vaelor went from the strongestÂ
Alpha in the north to an ordinary rogue wolf withÂ
no pack.Â
No one knew where he went.Â
Some said he sat by the sea every day, fromÂ
sunrise to sunset.Â
Some said he’d gone crazy, muttering a woman’sÂ
name over and over.Â
Some said that on stormy nights, he’d go into theÂ
ocean, try to swim out to the deep water, and getÂ
pounded back by the waves. Again and again.Â
But those were just stories.Â
In my story, he was gone.Â
My three children, though? Their stories were stillÂ
long.Â
Alaric’s PerspectiveÂ
When he was young, he thought power came fromÂ
his father.Â
Later, he learned it came from his mother.Â
He was the smartest of the three. And the first toÂ
realize how wrong he’d been.Â
After losing the Sea God’s blessing, he spent aÂ
long time relearning everything. It took him years.Â
to go from a “former genius” who’d lost hisÂ
abilities to a wolf who truly earned his strengthÂ
with skill.Â
As an adult, he defeated Ruric and took back theÂ
Alpha position of Stormhowl Pack.Â
On the day he became Alpha, the entire northern.Â
wolf population showed up.Â
The Siren Queen, Thalassa, showed up too.Â
She didn’t wear a crown. She looked like anÂ
ordinary guest.Â
After the ceremony ended and the crowdÂ
dispersed.Â
Alaric looked at Thalassa and said, like he didÂ
when he was little, “Mom.”Â
Thalassa looked at him. After a few seconds, sheÂ
nodded.Â
“Congratulations on becoming Alpha.”Â
Alaric suddenly understood.Â
She’d forgiven him.Â
But she would never love him the way she didÂ
when he was small.Â
Torren’s PerspectiveÂ
When Torren was little, he worshipped his father, looked down on his mother, and worshipped.Â
power. Then he lost the siren blessing. He gotÂ
beaten for the first time. He discovered he wasn’tÂ
special.Â
After that Siren Feast, he disappeared.Â
Torren left the wolves and started traveling theÂ
continent.Â
Many years later, a name appeared on the continent–the Gray Wolf Ranger. No one knew where he came from. They only knew he wasÂ
strong. So strong that no one dared say the wordÂ
“useless” in front of him.Â
Every year, he came back to the coast once.Â
He stood on a rock, looked out at the sea, and saidÂ
nothing.Â
He never entered the Siren Court.Â
Because he felt he hadn’t earned the right yet.Â
Morrigan’s PerspectiveÂ
When Morrigan was little, she said, “I wishÂ
someone else was my mom.”Â
But later, Morrigan started to awaken her sirenÂ
bloodline.Â
She could hear the waves. She could understand.Â
whale songs. And one night under a full moon, sheÂ
found that her own throat could make thatÂ
haunting, beautiful siren sound.Â
She started to realize: she’d inherited part of herÂ
mother.Â
She didn’t belong to the wolves. Not entirely toÂ
land either.Â
She belonged to that sea.Â
So she went to the Siren Court on her own to learnÂ
how to control her power.Â
Decades later.Â
Thalassa sat on her throne. Her silver–white hairÂ
had streaks of white now, but her golden verticalÂ
pupils were still sharp. Morrigan was an adultÂ
now, standing beside her in a silver siren robe, herÂ
silver–blue hair falling to her waist.Â
A siren noble stepped forward and bowed. “YourÂ
Majesty, will you pass the throne to the princess?”Â
Thalassa’s answer was simple.Â
“No.”Â
Everyone froze.Â
Thalassa looked at Morrigan. There was a hint ofÂ
a smile in her golden eyes.Â
“You have to earn the throne yourself.”Â
Morrigan smiled.Â
The smile looked exactly like Thalassa’s when sheÂ
was young.Â
Because this time, she’d finally earned herÂ
mother’s respect.Â
They used to think their mother was the weakestÂ
person.Â
When they grew up, they found out.Â
She was the strongest person in the whole world.Â
Her power wasn’t claws or teeth. It wasÂ
endurance.Â
And they had to live with that knowledge for theÂ
rest of their lives.
