He Used My Trauma As A Wedding Eve Entertainment Chapter 06
But even that was ruined by Graham.Â
The man who had once saved me had become theÂ
nightmare I could never escape, the ghost thatÂ
refused to stop haunting me.Â
“Mira! Mira, look at me!”Â
“Somebody help! Please, somebody save myÂ
wife.”Â
He sounded deranged.Â
Ignoring his own injuries, he dragged himself toward me across the pavement.Â
He was so loud.Â
His voice cut through the blare of horns and the sound of screaming all around us.Â
There had to be at least thirty feet between us, and still he clawed his way closer, leaving a longÂ
smear of blood behind him.Â
I couldn’t understand it.Â
Why was he panicking like this?Â
Hadn’t he always thought I was disgusting?Â
Soon he’d never have to look at me again. He’dÂ
never have to feel sick because of me again.Â
Shouldn’t that have made him happy?Â
Maybe he only wanted to make sure I was reallyÂ
dyingÂ
Maybe he wanted to see whether this patheticÂ
burden had finally gone still for good.Â
The sunlight was too harsh. I didn’t deserve it.Â
My eyelids grew heavier and heavier, dragging meÂ
down into the darkness I belonged in.Â
Then Graham grabbed my arm, his voice breakingÂ
with panic and tears.Â
“Mira, don’t close your eyes. Stay with me. Please.”Â
“You remember, don’t you? We were about to get married. We promised we’d spend our whole lives.Â
together…”Â
Lies again.Â
Was he really trying to pull me out of hell just so he could shove me back in one last time?Â
Hearing him say those things only made me want to disappear faster.Â
Some pain only had to happen once.Â
Through the blur, I heard frantic footsteps.Â
Medical staff came rushing out from the hospital.Â
“Mr. Whitmore, you’re hurt too. Please calm downÂ
and let us check you-”Â
Graham roared at them, completely out of control.Â
“Save Mira first! Are you deaf? Save my wife first!”Â
Vivienne rushed in with fake concern plastered onÂ
her face.Â
“Graham, why do you even care about that bitchÂ
anymore?”Â
“She’s faking it. She’s always faking it.”Â
“A manipulative woman like her knew you’d crackÂ
if she pushed hard enough. That’s why she staged this whole thing.”Â
“Her little–miss–innocent routine act might work onÂ
a guy like you, but it doesn’t fool me.”Â
But this time, Graham didn’t take her side.Â
“Shut up! Just shut the hell up!”Â
He snapped, his eyes murderous.Â
“This is all your fault. I was an idiot for believing your lies.”Â
“I only told you to cut Mira off financially so she’d realize she couldn’t leave me and come back onÂ
her own. Who said you could throw her out of the hospital?”Â
“If you hadn’t gone this far, if you hadn’t killed her mother, she never would’ve dragged me into theÂ
street!”Â
For a second, I almost laughed.Â
So he could think clearly after all.Â
No.Â
He had always been clearheaded. He just hadn’tÂ
loved me enough.Â
I forced my lips apart and gave him the last truth IÂ
had left.Â
“Graham… you make me sick.”Â
“Never having to look at your face again… thankÂ
God.”Â
With that, everything went dark and myÂ
consciousness drifted away.Â
Graham froze where he was, like my words had struck him dead.Â
The sentence echoed in his head like thunder.Â
“She… she thought I was disgusting…”Â
Tears mixed with blood and ran down his face.Â
“She was right. I am disgusting.”Â
“This is my fault. I never should’ve tested her. IÂ
never should’ve believed Vivienne…”Â
“Mira, I was wrong. I was so wrong. Please wakeÂ
- up. Please…”Â
“You promised me you’d marry me. You promised you’d stay with me forever.”Â
But no matter how desperately he called for me, I remained completely unresponsive.Â
The medical staff around us exchanged grimÂ
looks.Â
“Mr. Whitmore… she’s gone.”Â
“You need to let go of her now. Your injuries needÂ
treatment too.”Â
Off to the side, Vivienne couldn’t quite hide theÂ
satisfaction in her eyes.Â
“Graham, I know you’re upset. But no one wantedÂ
this.”Â
“She was just trying to guilt–trip you with a stunt, and she pushed it too far. That’s why she gotÂ
herself killed.”Â
“It was all a misunderstanding. Just an accident.”Â
Those same words Graham had once used to soothe me were now being handed back to him.Â
But this time, he couldn’t accept them.Â
He whipped around to face her, hatred burning inÂ
his eyes.Â
“Grab her.”Â
“If anything happens to Mira, I’ll make you pay back every ounce of pain she suffered a hundredÂ
times over.”
