Eight Years As His Secret Lover, I Married The Top Mafia Don Next Saturday Chapter 07

Eight Years As His Secret Lover, I Married The Top Mafia Don Next Saturday Chapter 07

“Slytherin, do you know the truth?” My voice remained calm and steady. “Lucius has loved me for twelve

years.”

“Do you understand what twelve years means?”

“He was fourteen and I was eleven-the moment he pulled me up from the hallway floor was the exact

moment he fell for me.”

“When I first came of age and he started learning the family business, he picked me up every weekend to take me shopping and spoil me.”

“Even after he became the Don of the Gambino family, he still sent gifts to my mother to pass along to me

regularly.”

“For all eight years I stayed by your side in the Moretti family, he sent a bouquet of flowers to me quietly every single birthday.”

“And you?”

I held his gaze unflinchingly.

“You never even dared to make our relationship public!”

Slytherin’s face drained of all color.

His hands shook violently, and the jewelry box slipped from his grasp, clattering onto the stone porch floor.

“Sabrina, I…”

I glanced at my watch once more. “Your ten minutes are up. I have to go to my meeting.”

I climbed into my car and shut the door. I leaned my head back against the seat and took a deep breath.

Slytherin banged frantically on the car window outside, begging repeatedly. “Sabrina, give me one more chance. Please…”

I pressed my foot on the gas and drove away without a second glance.

For the next two weeks, Slytherin acted like a man driven to madness, chasing after me everywhere.

He waited for me outside the Colombo group’s office building every day, only to be blocked by my bodyguards.

His messages shifted from apologies to desperate pleas, then eventually to bitter threats that I would regret

my choice.

I never replied to a single one.

He even went to my family’s estate to beg my parents to speak to me.

My mother was the one who greeted him, and her expression turned cold the second she saw him.

“Donna, I need to speak with Sabrina,” the once-powerful Don stood there like a guilty child.

My mother sipped her coffee slowly, every word sharp and unforgiving. “She’s not here. She’s gone to try on

her wedding gown.”

“Then I’ll go to the bridal shop to find her.”

“Stop right there.” My mother called out to him. “Sabrina waited eight whole years for you. What did you ever give her?”

“Nothing but a secret lover’s position.”

“Now that she’s finally moving on to marry someone else, you show up pretending to care. How pathetic can

you be?”

Slytherin stood frozen in place, his eyes filled with overwhelming regret. He had no words to defend himself. My mother told me all about this later. She sounded thoroughly satisfied with how he’d been put in his place.

I simply smiled. He was no longer worth a single thought from me.

The wedding was held on a Saturday night at the grandest ballroom in Midtown Manhattan’s top hotel.

Over three hundred guests received invitations, and the venue was decorated like a fairy tale dream.

I turned to Lucius in surprise. “This is far too lavish.”

Lucius smiled warmly at me. “I’ve waited twelve long years for this moment. You are my most precious treasure, and you deserve nothing less than perfection.”

The makeup artist finished my bridal look, and everyone in the room stared in awe.

Alice took dozens of photos with her phone, her eyes glistening with tears. “Sabrina, you look absolutely breathtaking today.”

I stared at my reflection in the mirror and thought back to eight years prior.

At that old party, I’d worn a simple white sundress with my hair tied back in a ponytail. Slytherin had said he

loved my pure, innocent look back then.

Later on, he’d told me my style was plain and forced me to learn makeup, saying I could not embarrass the Moretti family at social events.

Then he’d complained my makeup was too bold and said I looked unrefined.

I realized now it was never about how I looked.

He had never truly wanted to accept me for who I was.

The makeup artist asked what shade of lipstick I preferred. I chose a bold blue-based red.

Slytherin had always hated me wearing bright red lipstick, calling it too flashy and attention-grabbing.

“From this day forward, I will never give a damn about his bullshit again.”

The night before the wedding, I received an unexpected call from an unknown number.

It was Bella.

“Sabrina,” her voice sounded timid over the line. “Can I talk to you for a minute?”

“Go ahead.”

“I still haven’t finished the divorce paperwork with Don Moretti. He’s been pushing me to finalize it these past

few days, but…”

She paused for a beat. “I’m pregnant.”

My hand stilled for a moment, but I felt no real shock. “Is it his child?”

“Yes.” Her tone rose slightly, thick with undisguised triumph. “I just found out a month ago. The title of

Moretti family Donna will finally be mine.”
