The Luna’s Choice Chapter 06
The truth was, Julian had never dared to admit.Â
that Bella had become too outstanding.Â
He felt he no longer deserved her.Â
To overcompensate, he sought out fragile littleÂ
rabbits outside the pack, women he could easilyÂ
conquer.Â
He began to relish the way Bella looked whenever she discovered his affairs: wounded, helpless,Â
furious.Â
Later, almost out of spite, he found one womanÂ
after another.Â
Even then, Bella had never thought of leaving him.Â
She only followed behind him again and again, cleaning up every mess he made.Â
He felt guilty.Â
And he enjoyed it.Â
Until he met Kaven, the woman who looked soÂ
much like Bella.Â
A twisted thought had taken root in Julian’s mind.Â
How would Bella react when she realized he hadÂ
truly fallen for Kaven, someone so similar to whoÂ
Bella had once been?Â
So he allowed Kaven to upload those Al–generated. wedding photos to the Pack Forum. He publiclyÂ
declared his affection for her.Â
He ignored Bella’s dignity.Â
He ignored the fact that she was heavily pregnant.Â
Julian stood there, lost in thought.Â
Everyone around him stood carefully to the side, barely daring to breathe.Â
Then, the brutal reality finally crashed over him: Julian realized that Bella was going to marry the bastard brother he hated most.Â
He could not hold back anymore.Â
He walked out.Â
Kaven hurried after him.Â
“Julian!”Â
When Julian ignored her, Kaven grew angry too.Â
She had been spoiled her whole life. When hadÂ
she ever had to suffer this kind of attitude orÂ
exhaustion?Â
She stomped her foot behind him.Â
“Did Bella say something bad about me?”Â
“She was fine yesterday. Then today she sends.Â
over a dead baby? What if she killed her own childÂ
on purpose just to make you take her back?”Â
“That is insane! She sacrificed her own pup just toÂ
spite you! was her own baby!”Â
As her shrill voice filled the air, Julian’s patienceÂ
snapped.Â
“Shut up.”Â
For the first time, he regretted agreeing to Kaven’sÂ
request.Â
Why had he let Bella go beg that bastard Noah?Â
Kaven froze.Â
She stared at Julian in disbelief, her eyes turningÂ
red in an instant. “You yelled at me?”Â
Julian irritation only spiked, because he suddenly.Â
realized Kaven was nothing like Bella.Â
His Bella had never thrown tantrums like this.Â
With practiced ease, Julian pulled out a check andÂ
handed it to Kaven.Â
His voice was cold. “Consider this your payof.Â
Don’t bother me again.”Â
Kaven lost it. “You’re trying to get rid of me withÂ
money?”Â
“I’m the daughter of the Silver Moon Alpha! WhoÂ
cares about your dirty money?”Â
“I’m telling you, Julian. Since you got together withÂ
me, you’re going to marry me.”Â
“If my father finds out you touched me and thenÂ
refused to marry me, he will tear your pack apart.”Â
At those words, Julian’s brows drew tight.Â
He stared hard at Kaven’s face.Â
“The Silver Moon Pack?”Â
“Didn’t you say you were a rogue?”Â
Only then did Kaven realize that she had been tooÂ
emotional and had exposed herself.Â
Then she decided there was no point hidingÂ
anymore. “Yes. I’m the Silver Moon Alpha’sÂ
biological daughter. Alpha Mike is my father.”Â
“Mike… Mike…”Â
Julian kept murmuring the name. Then, all at once,Â
something clicked.Â
He seized Kaven by the throat.Â
Like a demon from hell, his voice turned glacial.Â
“You’re the daughter Alpha Mike had with thatÂ
mistress who destroyed his mate?”Â
Humiliation flashed through Kaven’s frightenedÂ
eyes.Â
She tried to argue, but no sound came out of herÂ
throat.Â
Then Julian suddenly laughed like a madman,Â
tears shining in his eyes.Â
“No wonder. No wonder she left this time.”
