He seized the warrior outside by the throat, his 

voice dark and dangerous. 

“Where is Bella? Didn’t I tell you to take advantage 

of the chaos and bring her back?” 

The warrior lowered his head guiltily. 

“I’m sorry, Alpha. Noah’s pack blocked the 

stairwell completely. We had no way in. Besides… you and Miss Voss had already severed the mate bond. We thought…” 

Julian’s eyes turned bloodshot. “You useless 

idiots! That was an act. Couldn’t you see that? 

Now go. Bring Bella back to me. Immediately.” 

“No need,” Margaret said from behind him. 

Julian looked at her in disbelief. 

“Mom, what do you mean?” 

Margaret took a bond dissolution decree from her 

bag. “Bella isn’t coming back.” 

Julian took it, and his eyes reddened at once. Even 

his fingers began to shake. 

He kept murmuring, “How is this possible? How 

could this be possible?” 

“Bella loves me so much. How could she bear to 

divorce me?” 

Margaret could not help letting out a cold laugh. 

“Julian, I ignored your usual nonsense because I 

didn’t have the energy to manage you. But this 

time, you destroyed your own child.” 

“Your brother is coming back soon. From now on, I 

won’t protect you anymore.” 

Julian said urgently, “Mom, even you’re going to 

help that bastard?” 

Margaret, who had already turned to leave with the 

remains, suddenly stopped. 

She turned back, tears shining in her eyes.

not your mother. Your mother is dead.” 

“I am your aunt. If it weren’t for you, I never would 

have become the Blackwood Pack’s second Luna after your mother died, wasting my entire life in a marriage with no love.”

“You drove away a girl as good as Bella. What makes you think I’ll stay by your side forever?”
