I Saw My Alpha Mate’s Betrayal, So I Changed Fate Chapter 07
Quinn’s mind goes completely blank with a deafening roar.
Tobias scrambles to his feet and quickly covers the document, shouting, “This is fake! It’s forged!”
“Beta Marcus, if you want to know whether it’s real, why don’t you come with us to the testing
center? We’ll have your answer soon enough.”
The lawyer remains calm as he continues.
“Abigail’s biological mother is an Omega named Emily. All her records are here. She currently lives
in a nearby pack.”
“Beta Quinn, you can also go find her yourself and ask her.”
Quinn nearly faints on the spot.
Omega Emily.
She used to be the friend Quinn trusted most.
She never imagined that her husband had been having an affair with Emily for years, or that they’d
even had a child together.
And that child was passed off by Tobias as an Omega from the Northern Territory, brought home by Quinn herself and raised as her own for all these years.
“Tobias, Pll KILL you!”
Quinn completely loses control. She lunges forward and grabs Tobias by the throat, squeezing hard.
But Tobias keeps desperately denying everything, insisting over and over that the paternity report
is fake and that he has nothing to do with Abigail.
“Beta Marcus, since you seem to be so fond of fake documents, we happen to have another one.”
The lawyers calmly pull out another file.
“Your daughter’s depression diagnosis is fake too.”
“She has fabricated five years of medical records, and somehow none of you noticed a thing. Truly
remarkable.”
One truth after another comes crashing down.
Marcus stands frozen, as if his very soul has been ripped from his body. For a long time, he can’t
say a word.
“You… you’ve been faking your illness this whole time?”
Like a puppet, he slowly turns toward Abigail, who is crying uncontrollably.
“Why? Why would you lie to us?”
“Do you have any idea how worried we’ve been about you all these years?”
“Because none of you ever truly cared about me!”
Abigail screams hysterically.
“Harper is your real daughter! If I didn’t do this, you wouldn’t even look at me!”
“She is so much better than me. I have to be the one who’s more pitiful, the one who’s suffered more, just to take back everything that should have been mine!”
Marcus looks as if he’s been struck by lightning.
He stares at the sister standing before him, a stranger compared to the girl he once knew, his face turning deathly pale as guilt consumes him.
That’s right.
Take.
How many things has Harper lost over the years because they allowed Abigail to take them from
her?
And yet, Harper is their flesh and blood.
Their real family.
“Take this bastard and get out! Get out!”
Quinn screams in complete despair before collapsing to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably.
“I want my daughter… I want my real daughter…”
Nolan watches the chaos unfold before him, completely helpless as he leans against the wall.
He used to be so certain.
He thought that even if Harper discovered the truth and realized they’d all lied to her, she would
never truly leave him.
But he was wrong.
Harper has never been the one left behind.
The discarded one, the one no one cared about, is actually him.
“How did she find out…?”
Nolan’s eyes are red as he mutters like a madman.
“Three days ago… nothing happened three days ago…”
He’s right.
Three days ago, it was nothing more than an ordinary family dinner.
And the camera that captured all their secrets is now with me at the Royal Castle, deep within the Royal Pack’s territory.
I barely use it anymore.
Because I no longer need to know how my life will end.
Landon and I hold a grand Luna Coronation at the Royal Castle.
After our wedding, our life is peaceful and happy. As we adjust to each other, we slowly become part
of each other’s worlds.
Landon never lies to me.
He understands me better than Nolan ever did. He remembers the little things I like and always
finds a way to make me laugh.
And little by little, I finally step out of the shadows left by my last relationship and begin a truly new
life.
But I never expect the first person to find me to be Sophie.
She cries as she tells me she was only blinded by greed for a moment and ended up helping Abigail
deceive me.
“Your parents gave me money to help them keep it from you.”
“I never thought her depression was fake too…”
She cries and explains everything to me for a long time.
I simply sit across from her, quietly finishing the last sip of coffee in my cup.
“Sophie, we’re not friends anymore.”
“The moment you decided to steal my proposal, you should have known that.”
“I don’t need a friend who can be bought with money and betray me whenever it suits her.”
I can’t afford a so-called best friend like that.
“Harper, I’m sorry. I really know I was wrong!”
“I don’t want to lose you. Please forgive me one more time. I promise I’ll never do it again…”
The Royal Warriors are waiting outside for her.
I don’t forgive her.
The day she stole my proposal, I already reported her to the Royal Warriors.
And her late apologies soon reach my ears again.
Only this time, the people standing before me are Nolan and Marcus.
