Overnight, Julian’s reputation was utterly ruined.
His company was already on a downward spiral. With the renewed public backlash, it was facing bankruptcy.
He should have cut his losses, sold the company for cheap, and saved enough to make a comeback later. But he did not have the resolve. Instead, he pinned his hopes for redemption on me.
He summoned both our parents once more to my home to plead with me.
