When My Twin Sister Stole My Mate Chapter 07
Alpha’s duminating aura instantly shattered through the courtyard gate.
Killian strode in.
Before I could even blink, he smacked the bouquet of wildflowers to the ground.
With formidable Alpha strength, he instantly clamped his arm around my waist, yanking me against his broad burning chest.
“Who the hell do you think you are?” He fixed the young human with a death glare.
“Stay away from my woman.”
Every pattern maker in the courtyard stopped what they were doing. The little gray cat in the corner hissed and puffed up its fur before bolting into the house.
The young man stood frozen, still holding his hand out in the gesture of offering flowers.
“Freya?” He looked at me in complete bewilderment.
“Is this… a friend of yours?”
I forcefully pried away that burning hand around my waist. Killian had grabbed me so hard that my hip was throbbing.
“I do not know him.”
“Just a passerby asking for directions.”
Killian snapped his head toward me, a flash of utter disbelief in his eyes.
“Freya, what did you say?”
I ignored him, bent down, and picked up the wildflowers scattered across the grass one by one. I gathered them back together and handed them back to the young man.
“I apologize, I hope he didn’t scare you.”
The man gripped the flowers stiffly, instinctively backing away. But Killian’s bloodshot eyes still glared dead at us, as if he were going to tear this human to shreds in the next second.
“You severed our mind-link and pulled a disappearing act, just so you could hide out in Nova City and flirt with trash like this?”
“Do you have any idea that I tore the entire Northern forest apart looking for you?”
“Do you know my wolf hasn’t slept a wink all these days?”
I looked at him calmly.
His chin was covered in messy stubble, his eyes filled with terrifying bloodshot veins, and that expensive custom shirt was wrinkled beyond recognition. This arrogant, all-controlling Alpha now smelled like a stray dog.
There was no ripple of emotion in my heart whatsoever.
“Alpha Killian, I have already revoked all permissions related to your family businesses.”
“My studio, my couture patterns, all my designs no longer have anything to do with your Pack.”
for us, we never completed a true bonding ceremony.”
“Even with a fated bond, without that ceremony, I am not a rightful Luna, nor do I belong to your Pack.”
The muscle by the corner of his eye twitched violently.
“You are the mate the Moon Goddess bestowed upon me.”
“That is only what you think.”
I turned to walk away.
He grabbed my wrist once again. This time, his grip was much lighter, his fingertips practically trembling.
“Freya, please do not do this.”
His voice finally softened.
“I was wrong. I shouldn’t have given the ceremony to Daisy.”
“I’ve already thrown her out of the Alpha estate. That territory belongs only to you now.”
“Come back with me. Tonight, I will mark you as my Luna in front of all the elders.”
“I can give you all the shares of the Pack’s largest clothing company. Or, whatever you want, just name it, and it’s yours.”
Even at this stage, he still treated this like a negotiation.
He offered his chips, and he expected me to readily accept the deal.
I looked at him, finding it absolutely laughable.
“Killian, do you think I left you just because I was jealous?”
He froze. “What else could it be?”
L
“I know you were wronged, but Daisy was genuinely in danger when her wolfsbane flared up.”
“Shut up,” I cut him off sharply.
“Whether Daisy’s wolf lives or dies has absolutely nothing to do with me.”
“You can protect her, let her be Luna, or even trample the entire Pack under your feet just to entertain her. None of that has anything to do with me.”
The muscles all over Killian’s body instantly locked up.
My tone was incredibly calm.
“I left because I simply do not want you anymore.”
His pupils constricted sharply. “Impossible.”
“We were together for seven years.”
His voice grew hoarse.
“You still have that burn scar on your wrist from when you blocked that silver weapon to save me!”
know how much you love me.”
“And now you expect me to believe this damn fated bond is just gone?”
He stared intently at my face, trying to dig out a trace of anger, a hint of spite, or any shred of evidence he could interpret as “she still cares.”
I rolled up my sleeve. The old scar on my wrist was gone.
In its place was a large, deep blue totem tattoo. The sharp lines wound across my skin like vines, completely covering the scar and transforming into a free bird soaring in the sky.
Killian stared fixatedly at the tattoo.
The color completely drained from his face.
“I covered up the scar.”
“And while I was at it, I erased you from my soul.”
His lips moved twice, but no sound came out.
Right then, the workshop manager hurried over from the front yard.
“Freya.”
She cast a wary glance at Killian, who was radiating violent energy, and lowered her voice.
“There is a lady blocking the front gate with some men. She claims to be your mother.”
I frowned.
“She refuses to leave,” the manager took a deep breath. “She said if you do not come out, she will let the whole block know what an ungrateful wretch you are.”
A flicker of hope sparked in Killian’s eyes.
Like a drowning wolf finally grabbing a piece of driftwood.
“Freya, your mother is here too.”
“She left the territory and came all this way to find you.”
That high-and-mighty Alpha certainty crept back into his voice.
“You can’t turn your back on your own family.”
