99 Times He Left Me Mid-Moon for a Fake Omega – The 100th? I Marked His Rival Alpha Chapter 10

99 Times He Left Me Mid-Moon for a Fake Omega – The 100th? I Marked His Rival Alpha Chapter 10

Id known Finnian Darkfang for twenty years-been his mate for five Everyone in the park said we were Moon Goddess pos

Until the day I accidentally trashed our mating certificate and went to the Lunar Registry to get a replacement

“Luna Shadowhowl, your bond registration? Yeah, it’s fake.” The clerk’s eyes flashed gold, her wolf clearly uncomfortable

“Our system says Alpha Darkfang has a registered mate bond, but you? You re showing up as unmated.”

My claws punched straight through my palms before I could stop them.

“That’s not possible. We did the ritual five years ago…”

“Alpha Darkfang’s mate bond is registered to Morrigan Bloodclaw.”

Morrigan Bloodclaw. That name made my wolf lose her shit-a howl that never made it past my throat but ripped through my chest like silver

Five years ago, Finnian ghosted me the night before our Mating Ceremony.

When I finally tracked him down, he’d lost all memory of our bond and was shacked up with another she-wolf.

That she-wolf? Morrigan Bloodclaw.

Standing in that registry office, I felt like someone just yeeted my entire reality into a dumpster fire,

The memory from five years ago hit me like a freight train.

The day our mate bond snapped back, he’d grabbed me so hard I felt his wolf’s panic bleeding through:

“Lupa-fuck, how did I not recognize my own mate? You’re my other half!”

Right there, in front of the whole pack, he’d scrubbed every trace of Morrigan off him like she was toxic waste.

“Get the hell out of my territory! You manipulative bitch-I’m done!”

And now? Now I’m staring at proof their bond is the real one registered with the Moon Goddess?

So what am I? His side piece?

I looked down at the fake certificate, tears burning behind my eyes.

Five years. Five years of him whispering “morning, mate” against my neck. Five years of midnight runs and building what I thought was our forever.

Turns out?

None of it was real.

I was never actually his mate.

I stumbled back to the packhouse like a rogue running from hunters, barely touched the door when I heard voices.

“Dude, five years. When are you gonna stop screwing Lupa over?”

Thorne Moonward-the Lycan King of this territory. Used to be a friend.

1 froze, my wolf’s ears perking up.

Dead silence. Then Thorne’s growl damn near shook the windows.

“Wait, you serious? You’ve been playing house with Lupa while you’re bond-registered to some wannabe Luna? Thought you said Lupa was your fated mate!”

Claws scraped wood. Then Finnian’s voice-chill, like we’re talking about the weather:

“Look, I gotta keep Morrigan stable. Girl went full psycho after I left-slit her wrists with silver and everything. She literally can’t function without me

“Lupa’s got the mate bond keeping her close, but Morrigan? She’s got nothing. Letting her have the registration… not a huge deal

Each word felt like wolfsbane injected straight into my veins. My vision blurred as he kept going:

“Plus, she’s Perrin’s bio mom. Kid deserves his parents to be bond-registered, right?”

“Oh, you wanna talk about Perrin?” Thorne’s voice went ice-cold. “You mean after you poisoned Lupa with wolfsbane to kill her pup so Morrigan’s id could play happy family? That’s messed up. Jax.”

Everything went sideways.

Four months after we mated, I felt it-that second heartbeat during the full moon. I was scared shitless but excited. Then one night I woke up burning from the inside, cramping, bleeding-and just like that, gone.

I blamed myself for months. Bad genes, too stressed, didn’t rest enough during my heat-anything to explain why I’d lost our pup.

Never once thought-never-that Finnian murdered our baby. Poisoned ine so he could play daddy to Morrigan’s spawn.

I bit down on my knuckles till I tasted copper, trying not to let the howl out.

No wonder he brought Perrin home the next day.

I’d been weird about raising another she-wolf’s pup, but he sold it so well-said loving Perrin would help us heal.

What a joke.

Five years of living his perfect lie, totally clueless the Alpha in my bed already picked his real mate.

The pain hit like a silver knife to the heart. Everything went dark and my legs just gave out. Hit the ground hard, my wolf retreating so deep I couldn’t feel her anymore.

Dead silence. Finnian burst through the door, found me crumpled on the steps, immediately scooped me up.

I flinched. Couldn’t help it. His eyes flashed amber-panic, his wolf surfacing.

“Lupa, shit-what happened?”

I stared at him, wondering how much was real and how much was another act.

“I’m good. Bond felt weird for a sec. Made me dizzy.”

He carried me inside. I watched him clock the scrapes on my knees already healing. For half a second, I almost believed it-maybe the registry really did mess up.

But his whole body locked up. Couldn’t look at me. His scent shifted-guilt and ash. The smell of a wolf caught in a lie.

“You were supposed to hit up Perrin’s pack training this afternoon, yeah? Don’t stress the registration thing-I’ll get our pack’s Lunar Advisor on it.”

I forced something that might’ve looked like a smile.

“Sure.”

The second they left, I grabbed my phone.

“I’ll take if the Northern Territories. When do I leave?”
