The Wife Who Rode Her Black Panther Husband Daily Didn’t Know His Child Was A Leopard Chapter 11
When they realized I thought they had feelings for
each other, both their faces turned dark.
Wren made a disgusted face.
“Who’d want a backstabbing capitalist like him?
He learned all the worst tricks from human big
shots.
He promised to keep my mouth shut about his
scheme and hire me at the SAB…
then he kicked me out out of the blue the day before yesterday!”
Wren was a Sheep Shifter.
Her family thought Sheep Shifters were born
weak, especially females.
They said we should only care about pretty
clothes and find a strong male to protect us.
They wouldn’t even let her attend shifter school.
With no degree, she worked front desk at a hotel.
She’d accidentally seen Kael take Jax’s place and trick me that night.
Once she learned who Kael was, she blackmailed
him into hiring her at the SAB.
When he thought I’d run off with Jax, he took it out
on her and fired her.
Jax heard every word.
He charged over and punched Kael hard.
“You bastard! I knew you did it!”
Kael hit him right back. “You’re the scum who
pretended to be me first! Cheap copy!”
“You’re one to talk! I know you pretended to be me
to trick Lira the night she left!
Too ashamed to show your real face?”
“I’m better than you, home–wrecker! Go to hell!
You only caught her eye because you look like me
and worked as some low–rent entertainer!”
Both shifted to their beast forms and lunged at each other.
I watched them for a minute.
Then I spoke, calm and sharp.
“Fight harder.
If you don’t kill each other, beat each other
senseless.”
The air went dead silent.
They froze mid–grab, both whipping their heads
toward me.
I stared back, blank.
“Done fighting?”
Kael let go.
Jax let go.
They stumbled to their feet, one with a split lip, the
other a black eye.
[Comments explode: YESSSS! Can I be the side
character for two episodes?!]
[The heroine snapped!]
[This is how you tame men!]
[Fr fr–after taming, can we get the three of them.
together?]
I stared at the last comment, thinking..
A small, quilty flutter went through me.
Zara piped up quietly. “Mom, why are Daddy and
Uncle fighting?”
I stroked her head. “Because they’re being bad.”
Mia looked up.
“Are you gonna spank them?”
[Comments: Hahaha kids say the darndest
things!]
[I’d watch that–but no kids allowed! I’m an adult!]
I knelt down to eye level with the girls.
“Do you like Daddy or Uncle more?”
Zara thought for a second. “Doesn’t matter. I only
want Mom.”
“Whoever Mom picks is our Daddy.”
Mia sucked her finger. “Yeah. Mom’s all we need.”
Both men tensed, waiting anxiously for our decision.
After a second, I lifted an eyebrow and smiled at
them.
“Why would I pick?”
Both men paled.
“I’m taking both of you.”
The room went still.
Kael’s face darkened. “Baby…”
Jax frowned. “Wait-”
Kael ground his teeth. “You want me to be equal to him?”
That’s what they were worried about?
“You don’t have to be equal,” I said. “You’re first.
He’s second.”
Jax snapped. “Why him?”
I looked at him. “You came later.”
Kael’s mouth twitched into a small smile.
Jax scowled. “I was there first that night!”
“You just brushed against me,” Kael sneered.
“You stole her!”
“You’re a copy.”
“You’re a home–wrecker!”
Wren stood to the side, watching their chaos, her
mouth twitching.
“Alpha Voss, are you done with your family drama?
What about me getting fired?”
[Comments: YESSSS I love a boss bitch heroine!]
[She only cares about the job Imao!]
Kael’s face went dark again.
I looked at Wren, impressed. “What do you want?”
Wren looked at me. “I want to stay at the SAB.”
I turned to Kael. “Is she good at her job?”
Kael frowned, then gave a reluctant honest
answer.
“She’s excellent. Better than some useless male
panthers I have on staff.”
I smiled. “Then keep her.”
Kael nodded immediately. “Whatever you say,
baby.”
Night fell.
The girls were fast asleep.
I lay in bed.
Kael was on my left.
Jax was on the floor on a mattress.
Kael: “Why don’t you go back to your own place?”
Jax: “This is my girl’s home. I go where she goes.
You gonna claim this is all yours?”
Kael: “You-”
A minute later, Kael slid his arm around my waist
from behind.
Jax’s voice came up from the floor. “Hey, I saw
that.”
Kael huffed.
“Not your business. Second place gets the floor.”
The night was young, and they had plenty to bicker
about.
I was fed up with the noise.
I slapped Kael’s arm.
“You get down there too!”
Jax: “Lira, how come he gets to be close?!”
“I want that too.”
Me: …
