“Tell Your Mom to Apologize”, My Billionaire Dad Ordered, Unaware She Died 3 Years Ago Chapter 03

Mom looked up at him. Her eyes were ice.

“Connor Harrington. I want a divorce.”

Dad’s face went dark. Impatient.

“What the hell are you doing?”

“I gave you eighteen years. Eighteen years of my life. All my love is for you and Annie. What more do you want from me?”

“You think a divorce is good for Annie? What? You want her to suffer right along with you? God, you’re so selfish.”

Mom shook with anger. Couldn’t say a word.

I stood there frozen. I couldn’t believe this was the man who’d raised me for eighteen years.

He didn’t even look at us.

When his gaze fell on Sierra still asleep in the bed, it went soft enough to break your heart.

“Sierra is trying to get pregnant. From today on, you and Annie are not allowed to come near me again. You’ll scare her.”

“Security. Get them out.”

The guards ignored me and Mom’s protests and shoved us back to Creekside Trailer Park.

That night, the debt collectors showed up.

Mom couldn’t stop them. They beat my right leg until it snapped.

I curled up in a pool of blood. I couldn’t even scream.

Mom cried like her heart was being ripped out. She called Dad over and over.

He just snapped at her. “I’m on my honeymoon with Sierra. Talk later.”

Mom shrieked. “Annie’s leg is broken.”

Dad was silent for a second. Then he roared back.

“It’s only been a few days. You’d lie about Annie’s leg just to get me to come home?”

“Sierra’s parents don’t have much time left. Are you really so selfish and cruel you can’t even wait that long?”

“You just want money? Fine. I’ll give you fifty grand.”

“Now stop calling me and Sierra. You hear me?”

He slammed the phone down.

Meanwhile, news broke about his fivemilliondollar honeymoon with Sierra. It was everywhere.

I lay in the ambulance and looked up at Mom. Helpless.

“Why’s he allowed to spend that much on her, but all we get is this little bit?”

Right then, I saw something in Mom’s tear-filled eyes. Pure hate.

She posted a picture of her marriage certificate online, trying to expose everything.

But some anonymous force buried it.

Before the surgery could even start, Sierra showed up at the hospital.

She stood over me and Mom and didn’t bother hiding it.

“I’ve known for a long time that you married Connor. That you had a daughter together.”

“You want the truth? I’m the one who sent those guys after you. Told them to give your daughter some extra special attention.”

“Consider this a warning. If you two still can’t learn your place, if you keep pretending you’re entitled to something that was never yours…”

“Next time? It won’t be just a broken leg.”

Mom couldn’t take it. She raised her hand to slap Sierra.

But Dad showed up out of nowhere and kicked her into the wall.

“I’ve been way too soft on you. You actually think you can lay a hand on Sierra?”

“Fifty grand’s not enough for you? You’re unbelievable.”

“Fine. You get nothing.”

Mom’s face was gray. She dragged herself up from the floor and begged him through tears.

“No. Please.”

“Annie needs that money for surgery. Without fifty thousand, she’ll be crippled.”

I clutched my mangled leg and cried out for Dad.

He just looked at me with disappointment.

“Annie. Don’t let your mom teach you to be a liar.”

“Starting today, I’m cutting off your household money. That’s your punishment for hurting Sierra.”

“Not until your mom admits she was wrong and swears she’ll never hurt Sierra again.”

He slammed the door and left.

Never looked back at me or Mom.

They kicked me out of the hospital because we couldn’t pay.

Mom borrowed money from everyone she knew. Barely scraped together enough for surgery.

But the doctor said it was too late. They’d have to amputate.

Mom held me and sobbed. Her tears burned hot on my neck.

I hugged her gently and smiled.

“As long as I’m with you, Mom, it doesn’t matter if I’m a cripple.”

After that, me and Mom worked whatever jobs we could find.

Life was hard, but we got by.

I learned to use a cane. I could get to school and back on my own.

Until…
