Stopped My Delivery, Alpha’s Mad Regret Chapter 07
POV: Alpha Mirko
Maggie trembled uncontrollably.
She had always believed Celia was the one who’d driven a wedge between her and the Coldnight
Pack’s Alpha.
She’d thought Celia’s worth vanished the second
she lost her brother’s protection. That was why Maggie had tormented her–she’d deemed Celia
entirely disposable.
Now, staring at Oliver’s icy expression, Maggie realized her own stupidity might have doomed the
entire Blackbloom Pack.
Sofia shoved Maggie aside and threw herself at
Oliver’s feet.
“Oliver, I’m so sorry,” she sobbed. “I never meant
for any of this to happen. I was just… terrified of
losing Mirko.”
“I grew up unwanted and unloved.”
“Luna Celia had everything. I only wanted a
fraction of what she had.”
Oliver stared down at her, his eyes devoid of all
warmth.
“A fraction?” he repeated softly.
“You wanted my sister’s mate.”
“You wanted her pup’s birthright.”
“You wanted her life.”
Sofia burst into harder sobs. “No! I never wanted
her dead! She was sick–her body failed her, not
me!”
“And she hurt me first! Years ago, she pushed me
down the stairs-”
“Shut up.”
Oliver pulled out his phone and tapped the screen.
A video began to play.
The footage was dated three years ago, inside the
Blackbloom Pack residence, at the main staircase.
Sofia stood at the edge, backing up while on a call.
She missed her step and tumbled down the stairs.
Celia stood three meters away, holding a glass of
water. Never touching her.
Sofia’s cries died instantly.
Maggie went rigid. “Wh–where did you get that?”
Oliver’s voice was lethal. “The security cameras
were conveniently broken that day.”
“But the smart doorbell had cloud backups.”
“I found the footage. And my sister begged me not
to release it.”
“Because she didn’t want to disgrace your
precious pack.”
Maggie’s lips quivered. “Impossible…”
Oliver stepped closer. “Sofia’s fall had nothing to
do with my sister. Celia owed you nothing.”
“But you–every single one of you–owed her
everything.”
Sofia shook her head violently. “No! I didn’t mean
to frame her! I was terrified!”
I slid down the wall, legs giving out completely.
The truth finally sank in.
I had spent years believing lies.
I had let a venomous snake poison my mind
against the only one who had ever loved me.
unconditionally.
Slowly, I turned to Sofia.
There was no rage left. Only hollow devastation.
“So,” I whispered. “Celia never hurt you.”
Sofia crawled toward me, grasping at my shoes. “Mirko, listen–I didn’t mean it! I love you!”
I looked down at her.
“You love me?”
“You love me so much you made me murder my
own Luna and pup?”
Sofia froze.
I laughed.
A broken, empty sound.
“Sofia.”
“You truly know how to love someone.”
