School Bullies, Meet My 109 Big Sisters Chapter 08
The lead official gave one of my sisters a crisp salute.
“Commander, as per your instructions, all evidence of Rossi Mining’s illegal activities has been handed over to the Disciplinary Commission.”
In that moment, Mr. Rossi’s’expression turned darker than the tires on Giovanni’s wheelchair.
Ms. Greco’s legs gave out, and she collapsed to the ground in a heap.
Sheltered behind Sofia, I was shielded from all prying eyes.
Without saying another word, my sisters closed in around me and escorted me through the deathly silent
crowd.
I was bundled into the lead Rolls-Royce.
My 55th sister, Beatrice Bianco, and my 32nd sister, Laura Bianco, were already inside.
The car pulled away smoothly. I heard Beatrice answer a call, her tone ice-cold.
“That’s right. Freeze all accounts belonging to the Rossi family. Don’t let Antonio transfer a single cent.”
Laura put on her Bluetooth earpiece, her voice quiet yet each word crystal clear.
“That mine has excessive radiation levels? Perfect. Leak it to the biggest media platforms. Let them dig deep. As for the education bureau, it’s already been handled. Ms. Greco’s license will be permanently revoked. No one in the industry will ever hire her again.”
I listened to them pull strings like gods, flipping the world upside down with just a few words, and finally, I couldn’t help but ask in a trembling voice, “Guys, what exactly do you do?”
The car fell silent in an instant.
However, it wasn’t until I got home that I discovered my tiny apartment was absolutely packed with
people.
All 109 of my sisters had crammed into the living room so tightly that there was barely room to breathe.
Sofia sat me down on the only couch in the room. Standing before me, she pointed at Alessia and said, Dante, Alessia is a special advisory consultant to the Supreme Court and the head of the Criminal Law
Revision Committee.”
She then pointed at the stocky Elena. “Elena is the Southeast District Captain.”
Next, she gestured toward Vittoria in her floral dress. “Vittoria is the owner of Magano’s largest fully
licensed and legal casino.”
Finally, she pointed at a woman in a jacket who had remained silent the entire time.
“Your 109th sister, Constanza Bianco… Well, I can’t disclose what she does for now. But I can tell you that she’s earned a commendation for meritorious service and is currently with the National Security Bureau.”
I was completely dumbfounded. My mouth hung open, but I couldn’t utter a single word.
Noemi Bianco, my scar-faced 46th sister, scratched her head and said, “Dante, the truth is, our family went legit eight years ago. Sofia was afraid you’d grow up spoiled, so she made us all pretend to be poor. You know what they say-kids from humble families learn to stand on their own two feet.”
My 99th sister, Ottavia Bianco, added with a pout, “All those times we left at dawn and came back late? Sofia forced us to go to night school to get our diplomas. She wouldn’t even let us come home for dinner otherwise.
“And the blood on our clothes? That was when your 77th sister, Silvia Bianco, opened her chain
slaughterhouse, and we all went to help butcher the pigs.”
My brain had turned into complete mush.
Sofia let out a sigh and crouched down until her eyes were level with mine.
“Back when we found you, we were all outlaws on the run. But you melted every single one of our hearts.
We talked it over and decided that we had to build you a clean, solid foundation. That way, you could hold
your head high and walk through life with nothing to hide.
“So, over the years, the one running smuggling operations switched to import-export trading, and the ones who ran underground money houses became bank shareholders. Everyone’s been doing their best
to change for the better.”
Vittoria pulled a mournful face. “It was honestly brutal. Going legit is way harder than breaking the law. You’ve got to pay taxes, follow regulations, and deal with all kinds of inspections.”
My eyes grew hot, and tears spilled over. “But I always heard you guys saying your work wasn’t clean.”
Just then, Alessia stepped forward and placed a thick stack of documents on my lap.
“Nonsense! Dante, this is a list of all the assets we’ve bought for you. Ever since you were born, every
single one of us has put away money for you on each of your birthdays.”
