Reborn Mafia Queen: Ruining My Toxic Family Chapter 01

Reborn Mafia Queen: Ruining My Toxic Family Chapter 01

Author: Liora Z
It was my engagement party, but my fiancé, Albert, spent the whole night fussing over Fiona. So did my brothers and my parents.

It was like I was invisible.

In my last life, I would’ve been heartbroken. I would have desperately tried to please them, just for a single smile.

But after dying once, I’m wide awake now. I see them all for who they really are.

Family, love—I don’t give a damn about any of it anymore.

The crash of the champagne tower silenced the laughter-filled ballroom in an instant.

Glass and liquid flew everywhere, leaving the floor a sticky mess of glass and booze. Fiona let out a terrified scream.

“Victoria! Are you fucking crazy?”

Lorenzo was the first to rush me, his eyes burning with enough hate to kill.

“Fiona’s fragile! You scared her!”

In my past life, a look like that would have sent me to my knees, begging and crying that I didn’t mean it.

But now?

I stared at Lorenzo’s rage-twisted face as the system’s voice chimed in my head.

【Host has disrupted the party. Slap-Down Index: Three Stars. Reward: Ten million dollars, cash. Deposited.】

My phone buzzed silently in my purse.

A notification from my bank.

I bent down, my hand closing around a sharp shard of glass. As Lorenzo’s arm swung towards me, I slashed it across his forearm, leaving a gash deep enough to see bone.

“Agh!”

He clutched his arm as blood poured between his fingers.

The whole room gasped.

Lorenzo was stunned, his eyes wide with disbelief. “You… you dare to cut me?”

“Cut you? Be glad I didn’t kill you. That’s your mercy.”

I flicked the blood off the glass shard and sneered. “This is a reminder of the hierarchy. I am a Moretti by blood. What the hell is Fiona? Some stray they picked up? And that makes her worthy of wearing my dress?”

That dress. Three months of work by a Milanese master, hand-stitched with a thousand diamonds.

【Host has drawn her brother’s blood. Slap-Down Index: Four Stars. Reward: Twenty million dollars, cash. Deposited.】

Damn, this felt good.

Not just the revenge, but the solid feeling of money in the bank.

My second brother, Marco, rushed over. He immediately took off his jacket and wrapped it around Fiona, who stood there looking pathetic in a diamond gown that wasn’t hers. He looked at her like she was a porcelain doll about to shatter.

“Victoria, you’ve gone too far! Fiona just loved the dress. You’re the older sister, why can’t you let her have it? A dress like this would be wasted on someone as rough as you anyway!”

Listen to this bullshit.

I walked towards Fiona.

She shrank into Marco’s arms, her eyes red and teary.

“Sister, I’m sorry, I didn’t know you’d be so angry… I just thought it was so beautiful… I’ll take it off and give it back right now…”

She started fumbling with the zipper on her back.

In front of all our family’s capos and allies, if she stripped here, the Moretti name would be mud.

Just as I knew he would, my fiancé Albert grabbed her hand, his cold eyes fixed on me.

“Victoria, are you done with your little tantrum? It’s just a dress. Is it worth this insanity? Fiona looks more like a princess in it than you ever could. You should have some self-awareness.”

“Yeah, not acting like a mafia princess at all,” Lorenzo grunted, clutching his arm and glaring at me with disgust.

I laughed.

Laughed so hard tears almost came to my eyes.

This was my blood, my fiancé.

In my last life, I swallowed all their shit, endured everything for this trash, and they fed me to the fishes.

“Since you love it so much.”

I grabbed a bottle of whiskey from a nearby table.

“Then I’ll make sure you can have it. Forever.”

I poured the whole bottle over Fiona’s head.

The amber liquid soaked her perfectly styled hair and makeup, and the diamond dress instantly dulled.

Fiona shrieked and jumped back, a complete wreck.

“Ah! My eyes!”

Marco and Albert scrambled to help her.

“Victoria! I’ll kill you!” Lorenzo roared, pulling out his gun.

I took a step back, faster than him, drawing the compact pistol I had strapped to my thigh. I fired three times at the massive crystal chandelier in the center of the ballroom.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The multi-million dollar chandelier came crashing down, smashing onto the floor with a deafening roar. Shards flew everywhere, forcing everyone back.

I stood in the middle of the wreckage and pointed at the pack of hypocrites I used to call family, my voice echoing through the hall.

“Albert Falcone, since you’re so worried about Fiona, fine! This engagement? It’s off!”

“He’s all yours now! After all, a bitch and an idiot deserve each other!”

“And you two. Lorenzo, Marco.”

My barrel slowly drifted towards my two dear brothers.

“Since you love being Fiona’s lapdogs so much, she can have the damn title, too!”

“From this day on, I, Victoria, have nothing to do with the Moretti family!”
