My Twin Sister Stole My College Admission Chapter 06

My Twin Sister Stole My College Admission Chapter 06

The next day, Chloe dressed up in a puffy dress, and the whole group headed to Kingston

University, laughing and chatting all the way.

As they stood at the university entrance, everyone couldn’t help but marvel.

“As expected of a top-tier institution. Even the main gate looks way more prestigious than others.”

“Exactly! Quick, quick, take a picture of me! If my son could ever pass the exams and get in here, my life would be fully worth it!”

Chloe smiled gentle and refined on the outside, but her expression held a hidden layer of disdain.

What a bunch of clueless hicks.

Logan stepped forward and gently ruffled Chloe’s hair. “From now on, our Chloe will study hard here. But your health is the most important thing, you know that, right?”

Chloe suppressed her true feelings and gave a sweet, obedient nod. “Mm.”

Just then, a student volunteer welcoming the new freshmen took a step forward. “Hi, freshman! What’s your major?”

Chloe replied immediately, “English.”

“The English department is over that way,” he said, pointing in a direction. “I’ll take you over.”

“Okay, thank you, senior.”

All along the way, Chloe kept looking around-staring at those wealthy local East Coast students, the ones wearing luxury designer brands, and the gorgeous, sprawling campus.

The more she saw, the more she felt that stealing Elena’s life was absolutely the right choice!

My parents and Logan watched her, warm and tender smiles blooming on their faces.

Suddenly, Chloe thought of something. “Since we all came out to Massachusetts, is there anyone helping Elena move into her school back home?”

Logan shrugged carelessly. “That community college is right down the street from our house in Denver. What’s there to help with? Obviously, Chloe is the important one here.”

My mom thought about it and nodded. “True.” She didn’t say anything more.

Logan lowered his head and sent Elena a text message: [How’s registration going? Don’t blame your brother for this. You know you owe your sister this much, right?]

After hitting send, he didn’t put his phone away immediately. He waited for a short moment.

Gradually, his brows knitted together. Elena didn’t reply.

Usually, she was the type to reply within literal seconds. This was a complete, historic first,

“Logan! Come here, hurry!”

Chloe’s voice cut through his train of thought. He stopped overthinking it, locked his phone, and

threw the matter entirely to the back of his mind.

A few minutes later, the group stood at the Humanities Department freshman registration booth

“Hi, professor! I’m here to check in!” Chloe’s heart was beating slightly fast.

The staff member nodded. “Alright. Name and declared major, please?”

Chloe answered eagerly, “English, Elena Sterling.”

The staff member turned around to operate the computer system. Slowly, the smile on his face faded, turning into a look of deep confusion.

Chloe’s heart instantly skipped a beat. “Is… is there something wrong, professor?”

My parents and Logan also stepped forward, their brows furrowing. “What’s wrong?”

The staff member offered a brief smile. “Please give me a moment. There might be an issue with

our system database. Let me call someone over.”

After a short while, an older male professor walked over.

After a few minutes of staring at the screen, the two staff members exchanged a glance and turned their gaze toward Chloe and her family, their expressions filled with a strange, hard-to-read

meaning.

“Are you absolutely certain the name is spelled E-L-E-N-A, Elena Sterling? For English?”

Logan answered on Chloe’s behalf, “Yes, that’s her. Is there some kind of problem?”

The professor pressed his lips together. “Then I am terribly sorry. Our humanities department-in fact, the entire incoming freshman class for Kingston University-does not have a single student named Elena Sterling. Please make sure you have the right details before coming back.”

Boom.

The sentence felt like a literal bomb detonating right in the middle of the Sterling family, shattering their composure entirely!

“Not registered?!”

Chloe’s voice turned incredibly sharp and piercing.

“How is that even remotely possible?! Check the system again, professor! I scored in the top fifty of the state this year! The university recruitment directors literally came to our house to sign me!”

Seeing her throw a scene, the staff pulled up the records and checked carefully one more time. “We are very sorry, student. But there is absolutely no record of an Elena Sterling in our system.”

Chloe staggered back a step, all the color draining from her lips until they were completely white.

“How… how can this be…”

The two staff members exchanged a look. “Student, did you actually bring your physical admission letter with you?”

Logan spoke up hurriedly, “Yes! We received it!”

“Chloe, pull out the admission letter and give it to them.”

Clutching onto this like a final saving lifeline, Chloe frantically tore open her suitcase, rummaging through the corners until she pulled out a thick, completely unopened express mail envelope.

Her hands were shaking and scrambling as she tore it open. “Right here!”

The second she ripped it open, she immediately handed it to the professor. “The admission letter is right here!”

The professor glanced down at the paper, and an expression of utter, speechless disbelief washed

over his face.

“Student… this is an admission package from Stanford University. Why on earth did you come to

Kingston?”
