My Ex Sued Me for the Account We Built Together Chapter 02
I glanced at the tablet in her hands, she was still fighting people in the comments from her burner account.
I didn’t need to look to know what the comments said. They claimed I never appeared on camera because I was ugly, and that Tyler cheating was understandable. Others insisted the whole thing was some agency-manufactured stunt, just fake content for engagement. No one should take these influencer stunts seriously.
Summer locked the tablet and grinned, leading me to my room. “Leave that loser in the past! Your best era is just getting started, babe.”
I changed into my swimsuit, and Summer looked me up and down with a sigh. “How could he cheat on someone when you look like this? I’ll never understand it.” She reached for her camera and waved a hand. “Don’t worry, you’re not in frame.”
“It’s fine if I am,” I said evenly.
Summer stared at me in surprise, then slapped her thigh. “Whoa! You’re actually gonna show your face now?”
I let out a soft laugh. “Times are tough. I can’t live off my savings forever—I need to keep working.”
Back when Tyler and I ran the couple account Ty&Sha, all the footage was shot from my perspective. I filmed him and documented our daily life. To preserve the account’s style and keep up the mystery, I never revealed my face to the public. Even other creators were careful to keep me out of their shots. That was why so many people assumed I hid my face because of my looks—and some even blamed it for our breakup.
Summer lit up with excitement and adjusted her camera to film me. I looked over her shooting script and offered a few suggestions.
“You were born to do this,” she exclaimed. “Tyler must have lost his marbles to let you slip away.”
Just then, a handsome male model waved her over. Summer rolled her eyes and headed his way, but the second she stood in front of the camera, her whole demeanor shifted into a sweet, bashful act.
I sat quietly by the pool, watching the sunset. Summer was a well-known beauty influencer, but her content had hit a creative wall lately. Her agency paired her with up-and-coming model Hudson Scott for a fake-couple series and boost engagement. This Bali trip was all part of their carefully planned content.
After wrapping up filming, Summer came back and chugged a large glass of ice water.
“It’s all staged content,” she sighed. “Audiences eat this up now. Few people share a genuine romance like you and Tyler had.”
Her words left me lost in thought.
It all started with a casual clip I filmed of Tyler, which unexpectedly went viral. Viewers swore our love was genuine, saying the adoration in his eyes could never be faked.
Tyler had chased me for months back then. I told him plainly that I didn’t believe in love and urged him not to waste his time on me. But he just smiled warmly and said, “I love every part of you, even your choices. If you’ll give me a chance to trust in love again, I’ll prove myself to you.”
He had been patient then. Gentle. Like he understood every fear I was too ashamed to say out loud.
That was why it hurt so deeply when the same man who had once looked at me with endless affection suddenly turned cold and said, “Let’s go our separate ways, Sharon. I’m tired.”
Raised voices snapped me back. Summer was yelling at Hudson, furious.
“What were you thinking inviting them over? Do we not have enough drama already?”
Hudson looked embarrassed. “I had no idea! They asked us to do a couple special together, and I figured it’d get good engagement, so I said yes.”
I lifted my gaze. Ten meters away, Tyler Wilson stood holding Riley Bennett’s hand.
