My Boss Put Me on Toilet Duty Until a French Tycoon Refused to Meet Anyone Else Chapter 11

Daily work returned to normal, and in many ways, it became even better than before

Still, I made up my mind to leave.

Over five years, Lhad turned the overlooked lobby into the proud face of this company.

Then a new executive arrived, insulted my abilitics and forced me into menial labor.

I had won our conflict in the end, but the hurt and frustration lingered. I did not want to risk going

through the same experience again with another new manager in the future.

I wrote out my resignation letter.

Mr. Boone read it and stayed quiet for a long time.

“You’re fully set on this?”

“I am.”

“Where will you go next?”

“I haven’t decided yet. I plan to take some time to rest first.”

His office door opened suddenly. Seraphina walked in holding a folder, freezing the moment she

saw the resignation letter on the desk.

“You’re leaving?”

“Yes.”

“I owe you a sincere apology for everything that happened before,” she said. “I misunderstood this

position and misunderstood this entire company. I was wrong.’

I did not reply.

Mr. Boone pulled a new employment contract from his desk drawer and slid it across to me.

“This is a new agreement. Your base pay will be increased five times over. Your title is now Guest

Experience & Concierge Director. You will oversee all lobby operations, guest services and staff training moving forward.”

I stared at the paper without reaching for it.

“You are worth every penny of this pay,” Mr. Boone said. “If you leave, who will welcome our French clients and all our partners properly?”

Seraphina’s voice shook slightly. “Please stay. This company truly needs you

I looked between the contract and Seraphina. I picked up a pen and signed my name on the

document.

“I accept the contract, but I’m not staying for the higher salary. I’m staying because I’ve grown attached to this place and everyone here.”

Mr. Boone nodded in understanding. Seraphina’s eyes grew wet with emotion.

I still arrived at the lobby at eight thirty every morning. I watered the potted plant, wiped down the counter and kept three reliable pens in the cup.

My responsibilities expanded beyond basic lobby work now. I managed all guest services and ‘ed training for new team members.

New young staff called me their mentor. I taught them how to recognize every employee and regular guest, sort packages efficiently, prepare drinks properly and speak basic English, French and Japanese.

That same potted plant still sat on my desk. I had repotted it three times over six years, but its original roots remained strong.

Seraphina often stopped by the lobby as she passed through the hallway.

“This plant has been here six years now?”

“Yes.”

“It’s been here almost as long as you have.’

We both shared a quiet smile.

After work each day, I recorded short videos on my phone at home. I did not give long lectures, only

shared simple tips from my years working the lobby.

I explained how to sort packages to prevent loss, how to schedule meeting rooms to avoid conflicts, and how to handle difficult guests calmly.

I spoke to the camera casually. “Today let’s talk about everyday tips for lobby staff.”

I edited the clips briefly and posted them online.

People left comments asking why I still made these videos after becoming a director.

[I’ve worked this role for six years. I’ve learned many lessons and picked up countless useful tricks along the way. I share these tips to help anyone who might need them. If I can help even one person,

it’s worthwhile.]

A young girl left a comment.

[I’m new to lobby work and have been treated unfairly by my supervisors. Your videos made me

realize I haven’t done anything wrong.]

I replied to her message.

[Do not be afraid. Every honest task you complete does not go unnoticed. Someone is always watching your hard work.]

The lobby remains the same as it always was. I am still Elowen, the familiar face everyone knows

When people greet me as they pass by, I always smile and greet them back.

That simple happiness is more than enough for me.
