Lost Princess of the Original Bloodline Returns Chapter 07

Lost Princess of the Original Bloodline Returns Chapter 07

Luca’s POV

8:00 AM. I sat in the alchemy lab, my face pale and grim.

A fresh bowl of healing potion sat in front of me.

But without Elara’s pureblood to refine it, it smelled like rotting garbage.

I fought back the nausea and took a sip. A second later, the old silver wound on my chest tore open/with agonizing pain.

I bent over, in too much pain to breathe. Black blood spilled from my mouth.

I swept my arm and smashed the bowl on the floor. Clutching my chest, I roared at the servant: “Go find Elara! Tell her to get her ass back here and make my potion right now!”

The servant shrank back and whispered, “My Lord, Lady Elara has been gone for three days.”

His words pierced my heart like a silver needle.

The old wound exploded with tearing pain. I slumped into the chair, drenched in cold sweat.

Then, a horrifying truth hit me.

For ten years, Elara never needed my blood.

I needed hers.

I was in withdrawal.

My broken body craved the Original heart-blood she secretly slipped into my potions.

My eyes turned red. I frantically reached through our mind-link. I called her name over and over.

“Elara! Answer me! Come back to the castle right now!”

Nothing. Dead silence. It was like she had vanished from the world entirely.

Marco rushed in with a stack of files. He looked deadly pale.

“My Lord, I found worse news.” He opened the files with shaking hands. “Elara’s synthetic blood rations for the past ten years… she never touched a single drop.”

My vision went dark. “What do you mean?”

My brain buzzed.

Never touched a drop? Then how did she survive all these years?

An Original. She didn’t need to drink that trash. She herself was the source of life for all vampires.

“And three days ago, the High Council’s database completely erased Elara’s bloodline registry. All traces wiped clean. Like she never existed.”

Marco’s voice grew smaller. “Only an Original family has the clearance to do that.”

The truth stabbed through my arrogance like sharp knives.

The wiped registry. The Nightshade escort.

I always thought I gave her eternal life. I thought I was her savior.

But I was the shameless parasite stealing her life force.

The world spun. I crashed backward into my throne.

Just then, that sickening rose perfume drifted in.

Mia walked down the stairs wearing Elara’s silk nightgown.

She wore the Blood-forged bracelet on her wrist. She had scratched off its magic runes.

She wore the amethyst daylight ring on her finger. She complained as she walked, “These things are too heavy. They mess up my flying.”

Bile rose in my throat.

Those things looked so cheap, so wrong on her.

I remembered how Elara cherished that ring. How she gently touched it.

I remembered how she wouldn’t even take the bracelet off to sleep.

I blurred into a shadow and lunged at Mia. My magic blasted her to the ground.

I choked her from afar with my magic. I forcibly ripped Elara’s things off her. My eyes were bloodshot as I roared, ” Take them off! Get out of my sight!”
