I Slapped the Villain After 99 Rebirths Chapter 14
Joseph came home from his trip.
He shrugged off his suit jacket, loosened his tie, and rolled up his shirtsleeves.
His first priority was kissing me.
I covered my mouth and refused to let him near.
Joseph raised an eyebrow. “What’s wrong?”
I glared at him.
He smiled and kissed the back of my hand. “Did I upset you?”
I nodded emphatically.
“A hint?”
I poked his chest. “You lied to me. You played me. You tricked me.”
“I know everything now. And I remember it all.”
Joseph’s expression flickered.
“See! You look guilty!”
He said quietly, “What do you know?”
I told him about meeting Olivia and the memory restoration.
Joseph listened carefully, his expression returning to normal.
When I finished my list of accusations, he just laughed softly. “It was fun. You were so cute.”
I bit his neck hard. “You should have been an actor.”
“Do you have any idea how terrified I was of you back then?”
Joseph let me bite him. He stroked my hair. “My fault. I’m sorry.”
After a few bites, I wasn’t angry anymore.
I hugged him and mumbled, “Joseph… thank you.”
Thank you for everything you did for me.
For giving me a healthy body.
For giving me the courage to love and hate.
“Thank you,” he said. “For choosing me. For loving me. Always.”
“Because of you, I know what it’s like to be loved. And I can believe that someone will love me forever.”
Joseph bent his head and kissed my hair, gentle as a whisper.
“Emily, being loved by you is my greatest luck.”
