I Slapped the Villain After 99 Rebirths Chapter 11
Olivia and I met up.
From her, I learned a secret I hadn’t even known about myself.
She said she was actually an actress who’d died in her original world and been transported into a book with
a system. Her mission was to save Benjamin.
She’d failed six times. On the seventh try, she would have succeeded.
But a corrupted version of Joseph destroyed it.
Apparently, in the loops, Joseph, the villain, had become self-aware.
He’d discovered Olivia’s secret.
Joseph kept sabotaging her mission, letting the world collapse over and over again, all because of me.
“Why?” I asked.
In all those past loops, Joseph and I had never crossed paths.
Olivia stared at me in surprise. “I thought you knew.”
“The first time you met Joseph and hit him, you said you were his future wife.”
“You were.”
My eyes went wide. I couldn’t process what Olivia was telling me.
In my memories, across countless loops, Joseph and I had always been strangers.
“Oh, you don’t have any memories of Joseph.”
“The Arbiter, the system administrator, must have messed with things to get back at Joseph.”
Olivia sighed. She thought for a moment, then proposed, “I still have some points left on my system. I can redeem a wish. I can give you back your lost memories.”
“But I have a condition. I saw a jewelry piece I wanted at an auction a while back, but Joseph outbid me.”
“I want it.”
I didn’t hesitate. “Deal.”
Olivia was true to her word. She redeemed the wish on the spot.
And just like that, a flood of memories poured into my mind.
