I Loved the Heir in Disguise Chapter 07

Jace did not know when he had fallen asleep. 

When he woke up, the sky outside was completely 

dark. 

The lights in the room were not turned on, only a 

little dim streetlight seeped through the gaps in 

the curtains. 

A figure sat by the bed. 

A familiar perfume drifted into his nose. 

In that instant, Jace did not think twice. He 

suddenly sat up and pulled the person into a tight 

embrace. 

“Mia.” 

His voice was so hoarse it was unrecognizable. 

“I knew you wouldn’t bear to leave me.” 

The person in his arms sobbed softly. 

But the next second, he saw that face clearly by 

the faint moonlight. 

It was not Mia. 

It was Vivienne. 

All the warmth in Jace’s eyes disappeared 

instantly, and he pushed her away in almost disgust. 

“Why are you here?” 

Vivienne’s eyes were red and swollen, she bit her 

lower lip tightly and looked at him. 

“Jace, you left me alone at the wedding for a 

flower shop girl like that?” 

“Because of you, I’ve become a complete joke in 

the entire social circle!” 

Jace rubbed his sore temples and interrupted her impatiently. 

“If you have nothing else to say, leave.” 

“Mia doesn’t like other people coming to our place.” 

This sentence completely ignited all Vivienne’s 

grievances. 

She raised her hand and slapped Jace hard across 

the face. 

“You bastard!” 

“Mia will never come back.” 

“She delivered that box to the hotel herself that day. She saw everything.” 

As soon as this sentence fell, something in Jace’s 

mind snapped with a loud crash. 

The next second, his hands were already around 

her neck. 

Vivienne could not breathe, her hands flailing wildly, her nails scratching the back of his hands. 

But Jace only felt cold all over. 

So cold that even his anger seemed to freeze. 

He stared at her firmly. 

“You told her.” 

“You made her watch.” 

Jace suddenly let go of her the second before she 

almost suffocated and threw her hard against the 

wall. 

She hit the wall, covered her neck and gasped for 

breath desperately. 

At that moment, Jace’s phone rang. 

It was his aide calling. 

He pressed the answer button almost 

immediately. 

“Did you find out?” 

The person on the other end hesitated, not daring 

to speak for a long time. 

Jace was already on the verge of collapse, and his voice instantly lost control. 

“Speak!” 

“Every second you waste, she’s farther away from 

me!” 

Only then did the aide force himself to speak. 

“Jace, Mia just landed in Newport, Rhode Island.” 

Jace suppressed his emotions and waited for the 

next words. 

But the other end of the phone went quiet. 

He kicked over the chair beside him, his voice 

hoarse with pain. 

“And then?” 

“Where exactly in Newport is she?” 

The aide whispered. 

“We can’t find out for now.” 

“Someone is interfering with our tracking of Mia’s 

itinerary.” 

“Being able to confirm she landed in Newport is already the biggest gain for now.” 

Jace cursed violently. 

His chest felt like it had been torn open fiercely. 

Vivienne took the opportunity to hug him from 

behind, her voice almost begging in its humility. 

“Jace, she’s gone anyway.” 

“Can’t you just look at me a little more?” 

“I’ve loved you for more than ten years since we 

were kids.” 

“Anything she can give you, I can give you ten 

times over.” 

As she spoke, she reached back to unzip the 

zipper of her dress. 

Jace frowned coldly and pushed her away with his backhand. 

At that moment, looking at her, he only felt 

disgust. 

“You don’t deserve to be compared to her.” 

Vivienne collapsed on the cold floor and broke down crying completely. 

Jace did not look at her again. 

He dragged her to the door and threw her out. 

As soon as he closed the door, he ran into the 

landlord, Mr. Harris. 

When Mr. Harris saw Jace, he let out a confused 

“Huh“. 

“Jace, why are you still here?” 

Jace did not understand what he meant. 

But the next second, he grabbed the man’s hands. like a drowning person grabbing the last straw. 

“Mr. Harris, do you know where Mia went?” 

“Did she say anything to you?” 

Mr. Harris was stunned for a moment, then took 

out his phone and opened a newly received 

electronic invitation. 

On the screen, Mia’s name was clearly displayed. 

And an invitation to a wedding. 

Jace froze completely in place. 

Only a loud ringing filled his ears. 

Mr. Harris was still talking. 

“Mia has already ended the lease.” 

“I thought you two were finally getting married and 

moving out.” 

Jace’s limbs went weak little by little. 

In the end, he leaned against the wall in a mess and slowly slid down to the floor. 

Mia had ended the lease on the small home they 

had lived in for three years. 

Mia was going to marry someone else. 

Mia really did not plan to want him anymore. 

That was why she had left so resolutely.
