He Drugged Me For Her Future Chapter 07

He Drugged Me For Her Future Chapter 07

He could not pinpoint it, only knew that somewhere along the way, her dependence had

started to feel like a weight, and her tears had begun to annoy him.

He told himself he didn’t love her. That he only

stayed out of obligation.

But if it was really just obligation, why did it hurt

so much now that she was gone?

He could not just lie there. He had to do something to quiet the storm inside him.

He stood up and looked around my room.

My textbooks were stacked high on my desk.

The surface was covered with motivational quotes

I had written to push myself through the SAT prep.

In the center, the biggest one said: [Tyler, wait for me. I am catching up.]

His eyes stung for some reason.

He couldn’t even look at that sentence, it made

him feel too ashamed.

Because I could have gone to Kingston with him

through early admission. He was the one who

took that away from me.

Then something on the desk caught his attention,

a piece of paper stained with tears.

It was a page from my journal that I had torn out.

[May 8th. I came across a post online by accident. Now I know everything.

I missed my early admission interview because Tyler drugged me. He made room for Madison.

The ring on my finger is fake too. He gave the real one to Madison a long time ago.

Tyler never loved me. He only saw me as a burden.]

He read it line by line. His face went pale.

So I had known everything.

About the ring. About the milk. I had known all

along.

His hands wouldn’t stop shaking.

Now he understood why I didn’t scream at him, didn’t cry, didn’t ask any questions. Why I just quietly packed my things and left.

He called Madison. Madison. Did you post our

secret online?”

A long silence on the other end, an answer without

words.

He closed his eyes. His voice cracked. Why did you have to make such a big deal out of it? Do you have any idea what you made me lose?”

I made you lose? Her voice turned sharp.

Tyler, are you serious? Did I tell you to drug her? Did I tell you to give me the real ring?”

Did I tell you to lie to her while promising her forever? You made every single one of those choices yourself. Don’t push this on me.”

He had nothing to say.

You always told me, Tyler, that you stayed with her, took care of her, even talked about marrying her, all because she could not survive without you.”

Her voice went cold. But honestly? You are the

one who cannot survive without her.”

You love her. I was just something to pass the

time when you were bored.”

She sounded like she was about to cry. We are

done.”

Tyler didn’t try to stop her.

After the call ended, he asked the school.

counselor which university I had applied to.

Then he booked the earliest flight out.

He knew he didn’t deserve my forgiveness.

He was not even sure I would agree to see him.

But he had to go, not to make excuses, not to try

to fix things.

He just wanted to tell me to my face that he had

finally figured out how he really felt.

It was never pity, never at all.

He was just too stupid, too stupid to hold onto the

one person in this world he should have treasured

most.
