From Rejected Omega To The Supreme Luna Chapter 16
Julian POV:Â
The air smelled of boiled cabbage and despair.Â
Shady Pines Rest Home. Where families dumped theÂ
unwanted.Â
I sat in my wheelchair. Legs useless lumps of meat.Â
“Bath time, Mr. Copeland.”Â
The nurse smelled of smoke. To her, I was just a state-Â
funded case.Â
“Leave me alone.”Â
She turned on the TV. WNN.Â
“Breaking News,” the anchor beamed. “White WolfÂ
confirmed.”Â
My heart gave a painful thump.Â
Footage played. A white wolf on a ridge next to a black one. Gods among beasts.Â
Then a clip of Ember. Cargo pants, scars glistening. Fierce.Â
Beside her, Gael King.Â
“Commentators are wild,” the anchor said. “Hashtag GoBackToJulian is trending. Traditionalists say the firstÂ
bond is sacred.”Â
A sick, twisted hope bloomed.Â
I grabbed my cracked phone.Â
She belongs to Copeland!Â
Second mate is a rebound!Â
They were right. I was first.Â
“She’s mine,” I whispered. “She’s still mine.”Â
Gael POV:Â
“Sir, have you seen the internet?”Â
We were on the King jet. My Beta, Lucas, looked nervous.Â
I read the comments.Â
GoBack ToJulianÂ
Damaged goods.Â
A growl rumbled in my chest. Tectonic.Â
The pressure dropped.Â
Ember slept on the sofa. Peaceful.Â
“Lucas,” I said calmly.Â
“Yes, Supreme Alpha?”Â
“Buy the platform.”Â
“Sir?”Â
“Buy the social media company. Shut down thoseÂ
hashtags. Ban anyone mentioning Copeland.”Â
“Done.”Â
“And Lucas? Find out who holds the Copeland debt. Buy it all. Every brick.”Â
“What is the plan?”Â
I looked at Ember’s scar.Â
“I am going to erase him. The name Copeland will be a ghost story.”Â
I walked to Ember. She stirred.Â
“Gael?”Â
I knelt. Sunset painted the clouds gold.Â
“I don’t have a ring,” I said. ‘Diamonds are cold.”Â
I took her hand.Â
“I offer my blood. My pack. My soul. A life where you areÂ
worshipped.”Â
“Gael…”Â
“Will you be my Supreme Luna?”Â
“Yes,” she whispered.Â
I kissed her.Â
Julian Copeland wouldn’t just be forgotten. He would wishÂ
he died in that fire.
