My Husband Told Me To Go West And The Comments Said Don’t Chapter 09
Evan pulled her arm. “Come on. Let’s go.”
“What are you scared of?!”
Serena shook him off.
“I want that bitch to know-if she lays a hand en me, I’ll drain her dry!”
“She’s got nothing left anyway. Let’s see how tough she acts now.”
Smack!
My palm connected with her face.
Her freshly-healed lip split open again, blood welling up.
“What the hell-!”
Serena shrieked.
“Luna! You bitch! I’ll have you arrested!”
“What’s the rush?”
I pulled out another card.
“There’s a hundred grand on this one. That’s enough to slap you five more times.”
“What?!”
Her eyes went wide.
I grabbed her by the hair and leaned down, towering over her.
“You said all my money came from Evan?”
She couldn’t speak.
“Wrong. Your precious Evan’s job? I’m the one who pulled the strings to get it for him.”
Another slap. Hard.
“Enough!”
Evan grabbed my wrist, his grip like iron.
His eyes were bloodshot.
“Enough.”
“Let’s get a divorce.”
I blinked.
Before I could even say it, he’d beaten me to it.
I laughed.
“What, you don’t need my connections anymore?”
His grip tightened-almost crushing.
“Without you, I’ll do just fine.”
“Better than before.”
I smiled.
And nodded.
The divorce papers were signed fast.
He only took what he’d put in from the prenuptial settlement.
We walked out of the courthouse with the final decree.
Evan was holding Serena’s hand.
“You know what? If you weren’t so controlling, I never would’ve looked elsewhere.”
I let out a cold laugh.
“You men always blame your cheating on someone else, don’t you?”
“Luna.”
Serena looked at me.
“A cold woman like you? You never deserved him.”
They got in the car.
And drove off.
I turned around.
And went to see Leo at the hospital.

100.00%
de was recovering well.
That was enough.
But not long after, Evan showed up.
When I saw him, I did a double take.
His cheeks were hollow. His eyes were bloodshot.
He looked like he hadn’t slept in weeks.
“Serena ran off with someone else.”
I wasn’t surprised.
“After I left you, I realized I’m nothing.”
He sighed.
“Projects that used to be easy-no one wants to work with me now.”
“Old partners won’t even take my calls.”
“I went back to Mr. Sterling, but the company already went under.”
“Luna… I’m sorry. I see it now. How pathetic I was.”
I didn’t say anything.
Just then, Leo walked out of his room.
“Leo!”
Evan’s eyes lit up.
“Leo, Daddy’s here.”
But Leo-who used to cling to his father-shrank back and hid behind me.
I looked at Evan.
“He doesn’t like you anymore. You should go.
“Luna…”
“Go.”
My voice was flat. “His stepfather doesn’t want him around strangers.
Step father
It hit lam
He looked past me into the bedroom
Above the bed, a wedding photo hung on the wall
Me and another man. Both of us smiling Happy
“You you remarried…”
His eyes glistened.
I just said, cold and quiet: “Leave. Now,”
Evan never came back.
But I heard what happened.
He went to prison.
For murder.
He killed Serena,
“If it wasn’t for that bitch, I never would’ve ended up here!”
On camera, his eyes were wild.
“I’ll drag her down to hell with me!”
“And even down there, I’ll make her suffer forever!”
His execution was carried out not long after.
I didn’t follow it.
The past is the past.
The future is what matters now.
