Eloped Ex Wanted Me Back? I Became His Mafia Godmother! Chapter 06
The bodyguards took the kids outside.Â
A second later, a group of battered, bloody men were shoved into the room.Â
Dante’s handsome face was swollen like a pig. HeÂ
sat on the floor with a blank stare, looking like heÂ
had lost his goddamn soul.Â
Next to him, Sienna’s makeup was ruined from crying, making her look like a literal monster.Â
The project managers scrambled over and fell at Adrian’s feet, slamming their foreheads againstÂ
the floor over and over.Â
“Don Valenti, we messed up! We swear we didn’tÂ
know she was the Donna and the young mistress!Â
If we knew, we wouldn’t have dared to touch a hairÂ
on their heads!”Â
“Yeah!” A guy in the corner trembled, pointing aÂ
shaking finger at Dante and Sienna. “It’s allÂ
because of these two pieces of trash! They lied toÂ
us and said the Donna was a street hooker! It’s allÂ
their fault! Please, spare us!”Â
They kept begging until their faces were coveredÂ
in blood and unrecognizable.Â
Adrian lit a cigar, walking right through the blood.Â
on the floor. He looked down his nose at themÂ
with pitch–black eyes. “So what you’re saying is, ifÂ
she wasn’t my wife, you could just abuse her andÂ
lock her in a freezer whenever you felt like it?”Â
Cold sweat poured down their faces. No oneÂ
dared to make a sound.Â
“Perfect.” Adrian blew a ring of smoke, his voiceÂ
calm but completely chilling. “Starting right now,Â
the Valenti family is blacklisting every single oneÂ
of your businesses. Permanently.”Â
Without the Valenti empire backing them, theirÂ
companies were dead in the water.Â
“And since you guys love freezers so much-” AÂ
sadistic smirk crossed Adrian’s lips. “Strip themÂ
naked and throw them in. Have a doctor monitorÂ
their heartbeats. Don’t let them die too fast. I wantÂ
them to feel every single second of it.”Â
Ignoring their ghostly pale faces, Adrian waved hisÂ
hand, and the guards dragged them out kickingÂ
and screaming.Â
Now, it was just Dante and Sienna.Â
Watching Adrian walk toward them, Dante finallyÂ
snapped out of it and roared like a rabid dog.Â
“What do you think you’re doing?! Adrian, don’tÂ
think you can just bully people because you’re theÂ
head of the Valenti family!”Â
“Shut the hell up!”Â
Sienna suddenly snapped. She violently shovedÂ
Dante and shrieked, “This is all your fault, youÂ
useless loser! If you weren’t so damnÂ
incompetent, I wouldn’t have pissed off a man likeÂ
Don Valenti!”Â
She crawled right to Adrian’s feet, intentionallyÂ
letting her dress slip down to show off her bareÂ
shoulder.Â
She put on a fake, seductive smile and whined,Â
“Don Valenti, I’m still young. Everyone makesÂ
mistakes. Just let me go, and I’ll do whatever yourÂ
want…”Â
Dante’s eyes went wide, his face turning greenÂ
with rage.Â
“You cheap bitch! I’m standing right here! Who the hell do you think you’re hitting on? You’re aÂ
used–up whore, you think a man like him wouldÂ
ever look at you?!”Â
Dante lost his temper, lunged forward, andÂ
slapped her hard across the face.Â
Sienna screamed, clutching her cheek. “Who theÂ
fuck are you to hit me?! We’re not married! It’sÂ
none of your business who I sleep with!”Â
“If Mara can marry into a powerful family, whyÂ
can’t I? I’m younger than her! Don’t act all high and mighty with me. You smell like an old man! If itÂ
wasn’t for your money, I would’ve never stayedÂ
with you!”Â
Throwing away her sweet, innocent actÂ
completely, Sienna tore into Dante like a psycho,Â
scratching and biting him.Â
Adrian watched the two dogs fight with absolute disgust. His voice was colder than ice.Â
“You think you can compare yourself to my wife?Â
You’re not even fit to wipe her shoes. Since youÂ
love slapping people so much, let’s see how muchÂ
you like it.”Â
He gave his bodyguards a sharp nod.Â
The sound of hard slaps and desperate screamsÂ
instantly filled the room.Â
“One hundred slaps! When you’re done, strip herÂ
and throw her into the freezer with the others.”Â
Adrian turned his gaze back to Dante, a dark smileÂ
on his face. “As for you? A month ago, theÂ
Romano family’s funds dried up. You got down onÂ
your knees in my office and begged me to workÂ
with you.”Â
“What did you say back then? You said you’d be my dog if I helped you. Huh? And now you insult my wife and daughter? Is this how you pay me back?”Â
With every word Adrian spoke, the color drained from Dante’s face until he looked like a corpse.Â
His lips trembled, trying to say something, but nothing came out.Â
Adrian smiled casually, his tone relaxed and uncaring. “Spread the word. Before sunset tomorrow, I want the Romano family completely wiped off the map of New York.”Â
It wasn’t a joke.Â
Dante slumped into the pool of blood on the floor.Â
He knew his empire, his ambition, and his life…Â
Were all handed a death sentence by the man standing right in front of him.
