Four Alphas Took My Moon Crown To My Adopted Sister Chapter 07
Bowen spoke solemnly. “I swear it. I’ll cherish her always and never let her suffer again.”Â
Grandpa nodded and turned to me. “Stella, are youÂ
certain too?”Â
I nodded firmly. “I am. I won’t waste any more time on someone who isn’t worth it.”Â
Grandpa let out a long sigh and waved a hand.Â
“So be it. The Eternal Night Woods in the northern part of Silvermoon Pack is my personal gift to you,Â
Stella.”Â
The words hit my father and Cedric like a heavyÂ
blow.Â
My father had schemed endlessly to keep this moon–blessed training ground within the ThorneÂ
family.Â
As for Cedric, he’d always believed he couldÂ
control me, and the woods would eventuallyÂ
belong to Blackwood Pack.Â
“Stella!” Cedric lunged forward, reaching for myÂ
hand.Â
Bowen stepped in front of me. He stood tall andÂ
broad, half a head taller than Cedric.Â
“Alpha Cedric, show some respect.”Â
Cedric’s eyes burned red. His voice shook as heÂ
stared at me. “Stella, do you even know whatÂ
you’re doing? Bowen doesn’t love you. He onlyÂ
wants the Eternal Night Woods.”Â
I stepped out from behind Bowen and looked atÂ
him calmly.Â
“So what? At least he gives me the respect andÂ
protection I deserve. Unlike you. You lied to myÂ
heart and trampled my pride just to pleaseÂ
Teresa.”Â
Cedric froze, overcome with shame.Â
Carl and Gordon hung their heads, unable to meetÂ
my gaze.Â
In that moment, panic flashed across all theirÂ
eyes.Â
It was the fear of losing something irreplaceable.Â
But I knew this was only the beginning.Â
Two days before the mate ceremony, werewolves across Moonwild talked endlessly.Â
The true daughter of the Thorne family had rejected Blackwood Pack’s Alpha and chosen toÂ
form a mate bond with his greatest rival.Â
Cedric called me countless times during thoseÂ
days, but I never answered a single one.Â
Louis showed up once. He knelt outside the pack house for three hours, begging for forgiveness for the harm he’d caused me.Â
I ordered the guards to drive him away.Â
He claimed he never knew my shoulder injury wasÂ
so severe.Â
It was a pathetic excuse.Â
Carl sent me long messages, reminiscing about the days we’d stood side by side.Â
He said he remembered how hard I’d worked to help him become Alpha.Â
I sent back only one line. “All favors are forgotten.Â
Speak of them no more.”Â
On the day of the mate ceremony, I put on theÂ
custom wedding gown Bowen had sent me.Â
The bandage on my left arm was gone, but I stillÂ
dared not put much weight on my shoulder.Â
Teresa was forced to attend. She wore the stolenÂ
crown, looking utterly out of place.Â
She tried to taunt me in the dressing room, but theÂ
pack guards Bowen had posted blocked her at theÂ
door.Â
Cedric attended as a guest.Â
He sat in the front row, the usual confidence of an Alpha completely gone from his face.Â
When Bowen took my hand and led me down the aisle, I heard the sound of a glass cup shattering in Cedric’s grasp.Â
Shards cut his palm, and blood trickled down between his fingers.Â
He felt no pain though, his eyes locked firmly onÂ
- me.Â
As the pack priest began to recite the vows, CedricÂ
suddenly stood up.Â
“I forbid this!”Â
His voice echoed beneath the Moon Goddess altar, drawing every gaze in the crowd.Â
Cedric stormed up the altar, his eyes wild. “Stella, forgive me! Leave with me right now, and I’ll banish Teresa from Moonwild forever. I’ll give youÂ
half of Blackwood Pack’s fortune!”Â
A murmur swept through the crowd.
