I Broke Up With Him After The Concert Kiss Chapter 07

I Broke Up With Him After The Concert Kiss Chapter 07

Six months later.

I walked out of the University Pathway

Program building.

Two unwelcome figures stood by the flower

bed, looking completely out of place.

Silas Hale and Lila Mercer.

They wore cheap, tattered clothes, their

faces gaunt and haggard.

Auntie had told me they’d dropped out

without telling their families and worked for

half a year to save money.

All just to buy the cheapest plane tickets to

find me.

What touching devotion.

I walked past them without a flicker of

expression.

Silas grabbed my arm hard.

Elowen!”

His hand shook, his eyes frighteningly red.

I finally found you”

I wrenched my arm free and stepped back.

Don’t touch me. You’re dirty.”

Silas’s face went pale, and tears spilled out

without warning.

Elowen, I know I was wrong. I really do.”

He dropped to his knees right there, in front of passing students,

I shouldn’t have changed your applications. I shouldn’t have posted those photos of you

online.”

I regret it every day. I can’t live without

you.”

Please, come back with me.”

Lila sank to her knees too, sobbing so hard

she looked ready to faint.

Elowen, everything’s my fault.”

I shouldn’t have clung to Silas. I shouldn’t have betrayed you.

For old timessake, can you forgive us just

once?”

She pulled down her collar, revealing the burn scar on her neck.

Trying to tug at my heart like she always

had.

I watched them cry and beg, cold and

unmoved.

I felt nothing but amusement.

Old timessake?”

I looked down at them and gave a faint.

laugh.

Lila, you saved my life once. My parents.

saved yours once.”

We’re even.”

And you, Silas.”

You took a beating for me and hurt your hand. I took care of you for three years.”

You ruined my future, leaked fake nudes of me, and almost killed me.”

We’re even too.”

Silas shook his head wildly, grabbing at my

pants leg.

We’re not even! I love you, Elowen! You’re

the only one I love!”

Belated love is worth less than dirt.”

I stepped back, pulled out my phone, and

called campus security.

Two trespassers are harassing me here.”

Security arrived quickly.

Two large officers dragged Silas and Lila

away.

Silas kept yelling my name over his shoulder.

Lila coughed violently, her asthma flaring up

again.

I turned and walked toward the bright

sunlight.
