I Broke The Game Rules To Kill The Sister Who Broke Our Bond Chapter 10

Veronica broke.

One look at Gideon pinned to the wall and she bolted, scrambling, tripping, throwing herself at the sealed

bronze gate.

“Open the door! Let me out! My guild is top-tier! They’ll hunt you down if you do this to me!”

She hammered the gate with both fists until the bronze was smeared with bloody handprints.

I watched her from across the hall, flipping the knife once, lazily.

“Top-tier guild?”

I scoffed. Then I moved, fast enough to leave an afterimage.

One blink, and I was right behind her.

Veronica whipped around. Under the smeared red lipstick, her face was pure animal fear.

Her mouth opened, maybe a name, maybe a threat, maybe one last plea. I didn’t let her finish.

My wrist flipped, my hand rose, and the knife fell.

The bone blade carved a clean, cold arc.

A single, wet slice. Final.

Veronica’s voice cut out.

Her hands flew to her throat. Blood pulsed between her fingers in hot, rhythmic bursts.

Her legs gave out. She dropped to her knees, eyes bulging, bloodshot and disbelieving, and collapsed face-down into the spreading red.

I flicked the blood off the blade and looked toward the wall.

Melanie was already standing in front of Gideon.

He hung from the wall, pinned, already drained of more than half his blood. He’d watched Veronica die in one stroke. His whole body was seizing, and he’d completely lost control of himself

“Melanie… kill me…”

He’d given up on living. All he wanted now was for it to end fast.

“For what we had… just make it quick…”

“A quick end?”

Melanie tilted her head back and looked at him, the face she’d once thrown everything away for. Her mouth

curved, but there was nothing behind it.

“Three years. You bled me dry for three years, and you think asking nicely gets you a quick death?”

She raised one pale hand and aimed her palm at the center of his forehead.

Blue-white light erupted from her palm, blinding and searing.

“Ahh…!!!”

The most brutal technique in the entire game. The core seal.

Gideon’s body went rigid. The sound that came out of him wasn’t a scream. It was something beyond that, something the human voice wasn’t built for.

Melanie was pulling something translucent out of his body, tearing it free from flesh and bone.

Peeling a soul out alive.

“Go to hell.”

Her eyes didn’t flicker. Her hand closed into a fist.

Something shattered, a sound like glass breaking inside a body. Gideon’s soul punched through the floor of the hall and plunged into the Eternal Purgatory beneath the dungeon.

There was no bottom there. Only fire that never died and ten thousand insects eating a soul that could never stop feeling it.

Burned to nothing. Eaten piece by piece. Rebuilt. Then eaten again. Forever. No escape, no death, no end.

The hall went still. The only thing left was the thick, iron smell of blood.

Melanie turned. Her blood-red dress was spotless.

Her red eyes held nothing human anymore, only the cold, absolute authority of an SS-Class boss.

“Valerie.”

She looked at me and held out her hand.

I sheathed the knife, crossed the distance between us, and took it.

The twin bond surged the instant our hands touched, power pouring back and forth between us, resonating amplifying, whole again.

We walked through the blood, climbed the stairs, and sat side by side on the bone thrones.

The system chime rang out, cold and final, echoing across every server in the game. And beyond it, in the

skies above the real world.

[Server-wide announcement: SS-Class dungeon core recombination complete.]

[The Twin Lords have returned to their positions.]

[Rules rewritten. Hunting season begins now.]

I leaned back on the throne and looked out at the blood-colored mist churning beyond the hall. I was smiling.

I couldn’t help it.

The humans’ ridiculous three-year dream was over.

From here on out, this world would run on our rules.
