He Forced My Parents to Death 15 Years Ago-Now I Let Him Go To Prison Fate Chapter 08

Two weeks later, Dale walked out of the county jail, his detention time served.

His house and his truck had been seized by court order at the desperate creditors’ request, all sold off to pay

his debts.

With nowhere left to turn, he borrowed a stranger’s phone to call his wife.

But all he got was a recorded message: the number had been disconnected.

One of his former associates told him his wife had taken what little cash remained and disappeared without

a trace.

Fifteen years of grinding his way to the top, and Dale had nothing left. No money. No family. Nothing.

But being pushed to the brink didn’t humble him. It just brought out the thug in him worse than ever.

He blamed me for all of it.

Late that night, outside the kitchen of the new Highland Springs Campus.

By the weak light of a flashlight, Dale walked straight to the rows of large stainless steel soup tureens that

would hold the free chicken noodle soup.

At 6:30 tomorrow morning, all forty-two hundred boarding students would pour into the cafeteria and drink

that soup, completely unsuspecting.

Dale stared at those tureens and pulled a large plastic jug from inside his jacket.

The second he opened it, the sharp, acrid smell of industrial pesticide filled the air.

One of the small-time thugs who had come with him smelled it and grabbed Dale’s arm, nervous.

“Dale, that’s concentrated poison! If we pour that into the tureens, how many kids are going to die?”

“If we get caught, we’re looking at life in prison, if we’re lucky.”

Dale kicked the thug away and lowered his voice to an angry whisper.

“Shut up. The new campus just opened. The cameras aren’t even hooked up yet. Nobody’s going to know it

was us.”

“I framed those dead Morrow bastards for poisoning their own food fifteen years ago. I’ll frame their daughter the same way today.”

This vicious rant echoed clearly through the dead-silent storage room.

The parent representatives I had hidden in the dark corners heard every word.

This piece of garbage was willing to poison their own children just to get revenge.

Several hot-tempered fathers were shaking with rage. They clenched their fists and were ready to rush out and tear him apart.

I held them back, put a finger to my lips to signal for silence, and kept recording with my phone.

I wasn’t going to leave him any chance to lie his way out.

Dale didn’t hesitate. He reached for the pesticide jug’s seal.

Just as he was about to pour the poison into the soup tureen, that twisted smile still on his face, I hit the master light switch on the wall.

The high-power lights on the ceiling of the storage room blazed on all at once.

Dale let out a yelp and threw his hands over his eyes, blinded by the sudden brightness.

“Who’s there?” He shouted in panic, his legs shaking.

From behind the shelving unit at the far end of the room, I stepped out, my phone still recording. Chloe was at my side, her teeth clenched.

And behind us, those furious parents blocked the exit completely.

The looks on their faces said they wanted to tear him apart.

I aimed my phone’s camera at Dale. The screen showed that I had recorded every piece of evidence of his attempted poisoning.

I looked at him coldly.

“Fifteen years ago, you played the victim while you were the real poisoner.”

“Tonight, I finally caught you in the act myself.”
