From Rejected Omega To The Supreme Luna Chapter 14
Ember POV:Â
The medical tent was stifling.Â
“Where is she?” Julian’s voice. Weak but demanding.Â
“Not here,” Gael’s voice. Calm.Â
“Don’t lie. I smell her. Cinnamon and smoke.”Â
“You were hallucinating,” Gael said. “Dr. Tucker is busy saving lives, not tourists.”Â
“I am an Alpha! I demand to see her!”Â
“And I am a Supreme Alpha,” Gael replied. The pressure dropped. Tsunami force. “Sit. Down.”Â
Silence.Â
I pushed open the flap.Â
Julian’s eyes widened. Like a man seeing water in aÂ
desert.Â
“Ember.” He tried to stand. “You’re real.”Â
I stood with arms crossed.Â
“Hello, Julian.”Â
“Please,” he reached out. “I know everything. Estelle caused the crash. I jailed her. I exiled Jeanette. I… IÂ
cleared the way.”Â
“Cleared the way?” I laughed dryly. “You think the problem. was Estelle?”Â
“They lied to me!”Â
“You blinded yourself,” I said. “You looked at my scars and saw a monster. That wasn’t magic, Julian. That was yourÂ
character.”Â
“I was wrong! My wolf is dying without you. Please. ComeÂ
home.”Â
I looked at him. I felt… nothing.Â
“Gael,” I said. “Is the helicopter ready?”Â
“On the pad,” Gael said.Â
“Good. Get him on it.”Â
“No!” Julian roared. He crawled toward me. “We are Fated!”Â
“Fate is a suggestion,” I said. “Choice is reality.”Â
Guards hoisted him up. He fought, screaming.Â
We walked to the landing pad. Rotors chopped the air.Â
They loaded him.Â
Julian leaned out, desperate.Â
“Ember! I accept you! I accept the scars!”Â
“It’s too late for acceptance,” I shouted.Â
I stepped closer.Â
“I, Ember Tucker, reject you, Julian Copeland, as my mate.”Â
The words hung heavy.Â
Julian froze.Â
Then, he screamed.Â
Pure agony. He clutched his chest. Blood sprayed fromÂ
his mouth.Â
“I… do not… accept…” he gurgled.Â
“Take him,” I signaled.Â
The helicopter lifted off.Â
Snap.Â
The bond broke. It hurt for a second, then vanished.Â
Clean emptiness.Â
I turned. Gael was there. He opened his arms.Â
I walked into them. Sandalwood and storm.Â
“It’s over,” he whispered.Â
“No,” I said. “It’s just beginning.”
