The Healer’s Fatal Warning Chapter 06

The Healer’s Fatal Warning Chapter 06

The handwriting was neat, the style identical.

Under Harrison’s pressuring gaze, even the healers and Beta assistants from my own class confirmed it was my signature.

At the same time, the nurses and assistants from the healing room all gave the same testimony.

“That’s right! The lead healer for the entire emergency procedure was Cora.”

“We were in the room the whole time. We saw her with our own eyes. It was definitely Cora.”

“We don’t know how she ended up in a wolf trap, but we’ve worked together for years. There’s no way we could misidentify her.”

Unbreakable surveillance footage, a personal signature, and the collective testimony of multiple healers.

It was a perfect chain of evidence, pinning the crime squarely on me.

Public opinion, which had almost turned in my favor, swung back in an instant.

The pack, which had just quieted down, was once again consumed by fury.

This time, their rage was even more violent.

And me? I just stared at the person on the tablet screen.

My mind was reeling.

For a second, even I was confused.

She looked so much like me.

Identical.

Seeing his advantage, Harrison pressed on, slowly walking toward me.

He looked down at me with a pained expression.

“Cora, I know you’ve always been a hard worker. But as a healer, the Luna’s life was at stake. You must take responsibility and accept the death penalty. It’s the only way to give the Ironclaw Pack closure and preserve the Sanctuary’s honor.”

His sanctimonious speech blocked all my escape routes.

He had painted me as an immoral healer who made a fatal mistake, shirked responsibility, and tried to lie her way out of it.

Before I could even get a word of protest out, the Ironclaw Alpha, who had been holding back his rage, finally exploded.

His eyes were twisted with fury.

“I’m telling you right now, the Ironclaw Pack has power and money across North America. You will not escape a

single shred of responsibility! My pack will hunt you down. You and your entire bloodline will pay the price!”

Dozens of pairs of eyes stared at me.

They were filled with contempt, anger, and disgust.

Harrison and Stella had cold, triumphant smiles on their faces.

The weight of it all pressed down on me, trapping me in the center of a hopeless situation.

The despair of being unable to defend myself choked me.

I felt cold all over. It was hard to breathe.

Just as the Enforcers, looking helpless, were about to slap the special silver-lined suppression cuffs on me, a tiny flaw flashed in my chaotic mind.

The surveillance video Harrison showed had been zoomed in.

As the person in the sterile white coat moved, her collar loosened slightly, revealing a small patch of her neck.

And on that patch of neck was a faint, crescent-shaped silver burn scar.

My heart began to race.

My frayed nerves suddenly cleared.

Fighting through the searing pain, I pushed myself up from the cold floor.

Then, with a trembling voice, I shouted, “That’s not me! The person in the video is not me!”
