The Floating Comments Showed Me His Real Feelings Chapter 06
The decision was made. But the coursework left me zero time to hunt for decent food, and whatever the dining hall served was slowly killing my soul.
My parents offered to fly out I told them no.
My brother’s solution was more practical: he wanted to hire me a personal chef.
Honestly? Not the worst idea.
But before any of that could happen, I was running on fumes.
Then Tessa showed up the next day carrying takeout bags from high-end spots, and every single dish was something I loved.
I almost cried. I didn’t even know what to say.
Tessa hesitated, opening her mouth like she wanted to confess something.
“Actually…”
After days of that dining hall slop, real food was a religious experience. Whatever she was trying to tell me
could wait. I kept eating.
Tessa watched me inhale the food and dropped it.
Over the next few days, Tessa kept showing up with more food. All of it incredible.
That’s when it started to feel off.
Every dish, every combination, every meal. Perfectly tailored to my taste.
Whoever was behind this knew me too well. And there was only one person who knew me like that.
No one but Callum.
My chest seized. What was he doing?
The comments had gone quiet for days. I had no idea what was happening on his end.
I couldn’t figure it out.
Then Callum showed up at my study abroad orientation the next day.
Was he here for me?
[LMAOOO she sees Callum and immediately thinks it’s about her?? Girl he does NOT miss you. The delusion
is unreal!]
[She literally pops up EVERYWHERE. Callum and Sienna’s plot stalled so they had to drag her back in, right?? Why else would she get more scenes?]
[There were too many people last time for him to give Sienna the heirloom. This time he literally followed her here and brought it with him. SO SWEET!!]
[Sienna shows up and he follows immediately?? He can’t stand being away from his future wife!! Callum deserves someone like her; gorgeous, kind, the whole package!]
[Right?! The second Maren showed up, I wanted to throw up. With a face like that, you KNOW she’s a total homewrecker. Everyone can see what she is…]
[You don’t have to go that far. As long as she keeps her distance, she’ll be fine. Just bad luck that she ended up in the same place as our endgame couple.]
My blood was boiling.
Unlucky? I chose the same place as THEM? And a homewrecker, what the hell did that even mean?
I hadn’t done a single thing wrong. I’d put an ocean between us. And they still wouldn’t leave me alone.
I was still fuming when I looked up, and Sienna was standing right across the room.
“That guy’s been staring at you forever. Are you two…?”
Tessa nudged me, keeping her voice low.
I glared at Sienna. “I don’t know her! God, it’s infuriating. She’s literally EVERYWHERE. Can I not get away
from this woman?”
Tessa blinked.
“Her? I’m talking about him. Isn’t that your… ex?”
I froze. Then I followed Tessa’s finger, and there was Callum, watching me with a smile.
