Last Life, I Divorced Him and He Became a Billionaire. This Life, I’m Keeping the Billionaire Chapter 09
In all fairness, Hudson wasn’t a terrible person except for the fact that he didn’t love me.
He gave me more than enough compensation: full custody of our daughter, the house, and hundreds of
thousands in savings.
But for the sake of myself and my baby, I pushed for an additional fifteen percent of his company’s shares.
I got divorced as soon as I finished my postpartum recovery, and a month later, we received our divorce
license.
As we walked out of the city hall, Hudson was filled with regret.
“I’m sorry, Willow. I’ll come visit you and the baby.”
I turned wordlessly. Not far away stood Alina.
She was extremely thin, but still beautiful.
This was the woman who, in both my lives, had made my husband run to her without hesitation.
I used to be so jealous, so eager to get revenge.
But later, I let it go. A man’s changed heart was like sand in the wind-impossible to hold onto.
My daughter whimpered in my arms. I let out a long sigh. “Hudson, don’t see us again from now on. I’ll raise our daughter well on my own. Just take care of your first love.”
I had far more wealth than in my past life, I’d learned business and investment skills, and I had my daughter,
my own flesh and blood.
Life couldn’t be worse than it had been before.

Just as I was about to step down the stairs, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan pulled up at the intersection.
It stopped right in front of me. The driver’s door opened.
Caspian stepped out in a sharp suit and walked toward me.
He took the baby from my arms. “All done?”
I said, “Yeah.”
“Let’s go. I’ll take you home.”
“Okay.”
I didn’t ask how he knew I was getting divorced today.
Once inside the car, I saw a baby car seat already installed in the back.
Caspian carefully fastened my daughter’s seatbelt.
Then he got back into the car.
Hudson stared in shock nearby. He rushed over to the car in a few quick steps. “You’re… Mr. Vanderbilt?”
“My company just received investment from one of your subsidiaries. What are you doing here? What’s your
relationship with Willow Collins?”
Caspian glanced at him coldly and said nothing.
The pressure in his gaze made Hudson step back involuntarily.
Caspian rolled up the window.
The car sped away. I watched Hudson stumble as he tried to chase after us.
“Did you come here to back me up, Mr. Vanderbilt?”
Caspian smiled gently. “Yeah. It’s not every day I have a friend. I couldn’t just stand by and watch her get
pushed around.”
