My Stepsister Livestreamed My Billion-Dollar Wedding Gown Chapter 07
In my past life, I made no preparations at all. I only focused on desperately protecting the gown.
This lifetime, after the wedding from my previous life, I secretly crafted an almost identical backup gown and hid it in the most secluded corner of my atelier.
I’d feared this exact moment.
I picked up the betrothal heirloom, the jade medallion Talia had pulled from the hidden pocket of
the sash.
It wasn’t damaged, only pulled free.
I wiped it clean in my palm and looked at Kian.
“The gown is ruined, but the heirloom is intact.”
He stared at the stone in my hand, his expression softening slightly.
“What’s your plan?”
“Sew the heirloom onto the backup gown, then remove this intact sash and attach it.” I gestured
toward the undamaged sash. “The sash is unbroken. It carries the Jett family crest and embroidery. Once fitted onto the backup gown, no one will notice the difference.”
Kian fell silent.
After a moment, he spoke in a quieter voice.
“Gwen, I hope you’re not gambling on this.”
Forty minutes later, a rolling rack carried the heavy couture gown into the dressing room.
Matching hand bead embroidery, millions of faceted diamonds, identical silhouette.
I shut the door and got to work.
Detach the sash, restring beads, sew in the heirloom.
I stripped every usable piece from Talia’s ruined gown: the intact sash, the bow at the back, the row
of pearls from the sleeve where Mom had plucked one loose. I attached each piece carefully to the backup gown.
My hands stayed steady.
This was the most careful stitching I had ever done in my life.

As my needle moved in and out, I thought of those twenty years.
Since childhood, Talia stole everything from me. My piano, my necklace, competition spots. The whole family told me to give in to her.
In my past life, I fought to save the gown, protected the Jett family’s honor, and preserved everyone’s dignity.
What did I get in return?
I died with no one to lay my body to rest.
This lifetime, I chose not to fight or grab for anything. I simply let them walk into their own ruin.
And they did exactly that.
Noisy shouts from the Voss family and quiet whispers from guests seeped through the door.
I blocked all of it out.
Ten minutes before the ceremony, I finished my final stitch.
I stood and looked at the newly altered gown.
The Jett family crest sat on the sash, the heirloom neatly sewn at its center.
It was flawless.
I pulled the door open.
Kian stood outside, his back turned toward me.
He turned at the sound.
His gaze fell on the gown behind me and paused.
“This is…”
“This is Ms. Jett’s wedding gown.” I stepped aside. “Please have the bride try it on.”
The bride was Kian’s younger sister, the youngest Jett heiress.
She stepped inside. Her eyes lit up at the sight of the gown, then flicked to the torn original gown in the corner. Her face paled for a second.
“Kian, what is this…”

“Don’t worry about that.” Kian placed a hand on her shoulder. “Try the gown on first.”
The bride slipped into the gown I’d altered.
The custom fit was perfect, no adjustments needed.
She spun in front of the mirror, her eyes growing wet.
“It’s beautiful.”
Kian stood behind her, watching Lila dressed for the wedding in the mirror. The tight tension on his
face finally eased.
He looked toward me, his expression complicated.
“Gwen, you saved my Lila’s wedding.”
I kept my eyes lowered and said nothing.
He stepped closer, voice quiet.
“What do you want done with that whole family?”
