I’m Not His White Rose Anymore Chapter 14

I’m Not His White Rose Anymore Chapter 14

I made a lavish meal for my last dinner with Lorenzo.

When he came home and saw the spread on the table, he let out a long sigh of relief.

“I thought you were angry…”

I smiled.

Honestly, I had gotten used to him putting Isabella first in my last life.

I handed him a freshly cooked dish.

Lorenzo pressed his lips together, trying to keep his stern face from breaking into a wide smile.

Tomorrow, I was going back to my hometown to visit my father’s grave. In this life, I didn’t know if I would ever have the chance to see him again.

I thought for a moment and decided to make one last request to Lorenzo.

“Tomorrow, could you…”

“Vivian, there’s something I need to discuss with you.”

I closed my mouth and let him speak first.

“In three days, Isabella is leaving.”

“She’s dedicating the rest of her life to the country. We don’t know if she’ll ever have the chance to come back.”

“Vivian, for these last three days, I want to take her and Lina out, show them a good time.”

Lorenzo stared at me, his expression serious. There was guilt in his eyes, but also an unshakable resolve.

I forced a smile. “Of course. You should.”

Lorenzo continued, “My mom has taken Lina to the estate, but Lina is still not used to the new environment. It wouldn’t be appropriate for Isabella to stay at the Moretti house. For these three days, I need to stay over there…”

I nodded. “It’s fine. You do what you think is best.”

Lorenzo studied my expression, and only when he was sure I wasn’t angry did he quietly relax.

Sometimes, I thought it must be hard for him too, being stuck between me and Isabella.

Across the table, Lorenzo reached for my hand.

“Thank you, Vivian. We’ll have a good life together after this.”

His gaze was incredibly sincere and intense.

I smiled and nodded, gently pulling my hand away. “Let’s eat.”

Lorenzo seemed a bit more at ease and ate a little more than usual.

It wasn’t until after dinner that he suddenly remembered. “What were you going to say earlier?”

I shook my head. It was nothing important. No need to bother you with it.

In my last life, the words he said to me most often were “I’m sorry.” In this life, I truly didn’t want to hear them anymore.
