Four Alphas Took My Moon Crown To My Adopted Sister Chapter 03

Four Alphas Took My Moon Crown To My Adopted Sister Chapter 03

I stood on the terrace for a long while before heading back into the main hall.

Carl, one of the three Alphas who once promised to protect me, stepped directly in my path.

“Stella, do not go looking for trouble with Teresa.”

His eyes were full of wariness. He assumed I planned to snatch the crown away.

Carl had been the first werewolf to show me kindness after I rejoined Silvermoon Pack.

Back then, he faced harsh exclusion within the Nightfall Pack. I secretly sent him all my savings to help him through his hardest year.

Later, once I was back home, I used the pack’s resources to help him rise and become Nightfall Pack’s Alpha.

I had thought he was someone I could trust completely.

Yet now he stood guard over Teresa as if she were fragile glass.

I turned to step around him.

He grabbed my wrist firmly. “Listen to me. Cedric has chosen Teresa as his future Luna. Your tantrums will only tarnish Silvermoon Pack’s reputation.”

“Let go of me.”

I tried to pull free, but Teresa glanced our way. Carl tightened his grip instantly.

I lost my balance. My foot slipped, and I tumbled down the steps.

My right knee slammed hard against the tile floor. Sharp pain shot through my body, and the wolf within me snarled in rage.

Carl froze where he stood. He made no move to help me up. His voice turned cold. “Why keep up this charade? Leave Teresa be. Cedric is all she has.”

Louis and Gordon, the other two Alphas who swore to protect me, hurried over.

“What happened here?”

Louis glanced at my swollen knee, his expression completely indifferent.

“What game are you playing now? Do you hope to win Cedric’s sympathy with a fake injury?”

Gordon slipped both hands into his pockets. “We saw this trick three years ago, Stella. It is pathetic. Did you even plan how you would fall?”

The agony stole every word from my lips.

Louis took my silence as guilt and grew even more impatient.

“Teresa only wants a crown. Is this really necessary? I will dance with you at the next part of the party. Will that satisfy you?”

I pushed myself slowly upright through the pain and shoved them aside.

“Move.”

Louis lost his patience. “Stella!”

He seized my arm roughly. “If we had not taken pity on you and helped you earn the pack’s trust, you would never have been allowed here tonight.”

I struggled fiercely to break free of his hold.

He gave my arm a brutal jerk.

My left shoulder popped out of its socket. The excruciating pain stole every sound from my throat.

Louis’s hand hung suspended in the air.

He stared at my limp left arm, his tone still rigid.

“You fight so hard to leave just to steal Teresa’s place as Luna?”

I gritted my teeth and supported my dislocated shoulder with my right hand.

Sweat streamed down my cheeks and stained my expensive evening gown.

Gordon let out a mocking laugh. “Quit pretending. You endured so much hardship out in the wild. A little pain like this means nothing. Do not expect us to feel sorry for you.”

I was drenched in cold sweat, yet a bitter smile tugged at my lips.

“You are right. I feel nothing at all.”

I slowly pulled my right hand away from my shoulder. My left arm hung useless at my side like a dead branch.

Gordon’s smirk faded the second he saw my miserable state. He looked away quickly, clearly flustered.

Louis’s voice shook. “I will fetch my personal pack doctor.”

“No.” I forced myself to stand steady. “Word of this will ruin my upcoming alliance negotiations.”

“You are insane.” Anger flashed in Louis’s eyes as he shouted. “All you ever care about is Silvermoon Pack’s interests!”

“Remember when Teresa accidentally ate wolfbane and lay dying inside the pack house? You left her all alone just to finalize an alliance with another pack!”

He panted heavily, his rage boiling over. “You have no heart. Profit is all that matters to you.”

With that, he spun around and stormed away.
