She Wanted Everyone to Remember Her Birthday, So I Let Them Remember It Forever Chapter 10
Seeing that the truth could no longer be covered up, one security guard from the front gate broke
down with a miserable look on his face.
“Mr. Rollins ordered us to let those people in! He said not to stop Miss Hastings’ fans because they
were bringing buzz to the property.”
The other guard quickly chimed in. “A few of them even handed us cash tips, saying they were here to help boost Miss Hastings’s online popularity. We thought management already knew about it
The moment those words were uttered, the owners completely boiled over.
“So you were the ones who willingly let all those strangers into our building?”
“My mother was literally terrified into a hospital bed! Have you lost your damn minds?”
Mr. Rollins’ legs gave out entirely, and he sank straight onto the floor, pointing a shaking finger at Ophelia as he screamed, “She was the one who told me her followers were all highly educated, decent people! She promised nothing would go wrong!”
Ophelia shrieked, “You’re lying! I only wanted everyone to experience the warm atmosphere of Building 18!”
Mr. Valour stepped forward and ripped the ID badge straight off Mr. Rollins’ chest.
“Starting right now, you are suspended. The developer will temporarily take over the management office. Emergency lock replacements will be arranged for every single owner tonight, and management will advance the costs.”
Willow still tried to use the chaos to hurl insults at me. “Patricia, don’t get too smug! Now that the police are involved, your reputation is going to be completely ruined too!”
Millie’s husband immediately shut her down on the spot, “Her reputation? Your son literally
brought a mob to trash her apartment while protecting the woman who caused this entire disaster.
It’s your family that’s about to become famous!”
Chad finally started to panic. He leaned in and spoke to me in a low, urgent voice, “Patricia, please
say something. Don’t drag me into this. Things were so chaotic earlier, but I was honestly just trying to help everyone.”
I laughed out of pure disbelief. “Were you helping everyone, or were you helping Ophelia? None of
us are blind!”
An officer walked over. “Mr. Wellington, Mrs. Wellington, Miss Hastings, and Mr. Rollins. Come over here with us to give your statements.”
Ophelia completely lost her composure. She reached out and grabbed Chad’s arm. “Chad, say
something!”
But this time, as Chad looked around at the wall of furious owners, his hand froze mid-air. He
didn’t dare step in to protect her again.
By the time I finished giving my statement and walked out, the sky was completely dark.
A crowd of owners was still gathered at the community entrance.
Mr. Valour had just put up an official notice: Mr. Rollins was suspended, the management company would pay for emergency lock replacements for Building 18, all property losses would be documented, and compensation would be pursued based on the investigation results.
The second the notice went up, Millie was the first to rush over and sign her name. “My jewelry and my cash. I expect every single cent back.”
Another owner slammed his construction invoice onto the table. “Six boxes of premium wooden flooring, three thousand dollars a box. I won’t accept a single penny less.’
Ophelia shrank behind her parents, while her mother kept offering forced, apologetic smiles to the crowd. “She’s still young, she didn’t know any better. Please, just give her another chance.”
Millie shoved her phone right in front of Ophelia’s mother’s face. On the screen was the official notice of Ophelia’s permanent account ban.
At the exact same time, her name was trending heavily at the top of the local community platforms.
[Viral ‘Princess Challenge’ backfires horribly! Influencer leaks entire building’s master security
code!]
[Using other people’s apartments as content for a live stream? That’s a straight-up criminal charge!]
The comments online were even more brutal than the neighborhood group chat.
[She really thought she was a princess. More like a parasite.]
[Claims the whole building adores her, ends up getting the whole building robbed. Hilarious!]
[I hope they sue her for every penny until she never dares to stream again!]
Ophelia finally broke down completely, clutching her mother as she wailed at the top of her lungs, “Mom, all my brand deals are completely gone! The sponsors are demanding massive penalties for breach of contract! What am I going to do?”
Her father’s face was dark with fury. “Shut up! We’re going to have to sell the car just to cover this because of you, and you’re still whining about brand deals?”
When Mr. Rollins was escorted out by the property company’s security personnel, his official badge
had already been stripped away.
He still tried to beg Mr. Valour. “I’ve worked here for so many years. My entire career can’t just be ruined over one single incident, right?”
Mr. Valour didn’t even grant him a glance.
“You deleted visitor logs, let unauthorized people in, and tried to force owners to sign liability waivers. The evidence is solid, and it’s already been handed over to the authorities.”
